I'm a Texan now. Been here for almost 21 yrs. Left to go to Hawaii for 2 1/2 yrs and married a Texan and moved back to Cedar Hill. I travel all over Dallas now that I'm a home health nurse. Would love to meet others from around here.
Dorothy
I just read that some one here was from Midlothian, where I live now. We lived in Cedar HIll for about 17 years before moving to "the country" !
Hey, Santa Fe/Alvin/Brazoria county folks! I'm in Sugar Land, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump from you.
I know there must be a LOT more stampers in this area! I'm an SU demo and *love* it! My own upline doesn't come up on searches from my location, though, so I'm certain there are a bunch more out there!

Hello Ladies! I don't really see anyone from my area, I live in Aransas Pass, Texas near Corpus Christi. Neither do I see the El Paso area represented, where my DH was born and raised. We're in the Military so this is just a stop over for us. We had always said we were going to retire to Arizona (where I'm from) but since being here, we visit the San Antonio area (Canyon Lake, New Braunfels) once or twice a month, every chance we get, we just Love, Love, Love San Antonio. And of course I've noticed the big Stampin' Crowd up there.
I'm afraid I'm gonna miss the Scrapbooking Convention next month, DH will be out. Just thought I'd represent my corner of Texas, anyone closer than San Antonio? I am always looking for people to stamp with!
ME - I live in Nacogdoches, TX (East TX). Just moved here last year from Dayton, OH, although I am originally from Warren, OH. I love the warmer weather and love having a house with some land in an allotment. Builders are too greedy in Ohio to let you have some land with your house as they would lose the space to build another house! ;-)

I was born in Texarkana, spent my toddler years in Garland and then grew up in Mineola ( near Tyler). I lived in Tyler and Nacadoches for college. I lived in Corpus Christi when my DH was stationed there.
We have been out of Texas for 9 years now :( , but we will retire there in the next 6 years or so.
When I saw your SCS name I said to myself "Mineola" before I opened the thread. We havea good friend that lives in Quitman so I have passed through Mineola often.

Born in Texas, raised in Texas, have lived in Texas all my life, and will be here til I die!!!You know what they say: Never ask a man where he is from. If he's from Texas he'll tell you, if he's not you'll embarrass him.

I just foind this thread. I am in Prosper, TX just 10 miles N of Frisco. Have been in Texas since I was 8, does that make me a Texan yet?? My dh is a Texan, my 2 sons are Texan. I have no plans to ever leave. I LOVE it here especially the bluebonnets and the friendly people.
I was thinking, all of us who are in the DFW Metroplex, should meet up in Lewisville for lunch/dinner and go to the Scrapbook Warehouse. We could just meet up there or do a crop? Let me know, and I'll try to get something together. Or pm me for my phone number and we can talk in person!!!
Works for me! I took my Mom there last weekend; been a long time since I made the drive but it's always worth it and there are lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. I will pm for the phone number in a few days (give more folks time to join in).

Mcpaige,
Memory Depot in Austin is a really good place to go. i don't know if if they carry a muse stamps, but they do carry a lot of great stuff. the store is nice, the salespeople are nice and the aisles are big - you don't have to worry about being so squished you say excuse me everytime you pass someone. See link below.
OK, so the few that are interested in meeting in Lewisville, or another location (I'm up for suggestions!), my mom(Dyu) will be in, and is DYING to go too. She will be here July 12-19. Anytime from the 16th on will work for us, or we can just plan on another time without her, bwahahaha!!
Hey, quit being so mean! You know eveyone wants to see me & not you! Phtphtphtphtpht!!!!!!! :p

Ladies I just watned to share with the Texas Gals that...
Stamp Salado in Salado TX ROCKS!
Their store is definitely worth the drive! It is a teeny tiny place but has great stamp lines, and lots and lots to choose from! If you are needing a fun place to meet up, this place is a great, and Salado is a fun town!
[FYI, Salado is north of Georgetown/RoundRock/Austin.]

My gallery is small today, but it has BIG dreams!!
Give our SCS Team a break...No uploads on Sundays!
I was born and raised in Richardson, TX (suburb of Dallas) and left for 17 years. I just came back in March and am living in the Houston area (Spring to be exact). I've yet to find a stamping store. Lots of Scrapbooking places and I love Hobby Lobby!!!
OK, so how does Sunday sound? Like a late lunchish time? My DD birthday is going on, and since we have in-laws coming in also, Sunday is just about the only time we can do it. If you are interested please let me know!
Been to the town but never to that store. Lots of quaint little shops. Cute town. I am sorry to have missed it.

WOW! So many stampers from Texas! I'm from south Texas...way south! Mission, Texas is about 8 miles north of the Mex/Tex border. Anyone else this far south (or close??)?:(
I have been there! Read the thread. I think there are a few from McAllen or Weslaco. I can't remember.

Born and raised in Texas (lived there for 23 years) in a little town called "Jasper". Mom and Dad and a host of my family members are still there as well as other areas of that big ole' state. Headed back there for a family reunion this month. A little something to all of you that my Uncle use to say to me....Happy trails
