WOW! Lots of us in Wisconsin. I live in Central Wisconsin - WAUSAU! It's about 2 hours north of Madison, 2 Hours west of Appleton & 2 hours east of Eau Claire! I am always looking new gals to stamp with!!!
I'm looking for people to scrap with. I have a scheduled a scrap night for the second Friday of every month, starting at 6:00 p.m. The next night is April 11th. Please contact me if you're interested. I'm located in Brillion, which is 20 minutes from Appleton, Manitowoc and Green Bay.
I moved to Appleton 5 months ago (right before the first big snow fall)---you guys have some CRAZY winters. I got a lot of stamping done (because I couldn't get out of the house), but I am ready for SPRING and WARM weather!
Nancy
Hi everyone!
We are back on track. Here are the forms in Microsft Word format so everyone should be able to download, print and READ them. YA! The deadline has been moved to May 13, 2008 to make up for my original use of Word Perfect (even though I still LOVE it). Enjoy, if you have any questions send me an email or PM, My phone numbers are on the form too.
Can't wait to spend the day stampin' with you!

I am from Wisconsin lived here for almost 31 years, I live in Onalaska near
La Crosse, I live close to the mall and all the stamp and scrapbook stores!
And in the interest of bumping this thread back to the top, I'm de-lurking and intro'ing myself!
I'm from Platteville, I see a few of you know where this is!!
Hello everyone! I am originally from MN, but have lived in Madison for the last two years. I was wondering if there is ever any events put on by SCS people to swap cards? Just wondering! I don't have too many people to scrap with and would like a scrap buddy. Thanks!
Theresa
AZMommy organizes the Mad-City Madness Shoebox Swap every spring in Sun Prairie. We just had it on March 22, so you'll have to stay tuned until next spring.
There are other gals in the area who are organizing other events - melv was planning one for June in Friendship, WI. (I wish I could figure out how to post the link to her event but I'm 'link challenged.')
Just keep an eye out in the "Get it Together" forum for postings - there is always some kind of event happening.
You could also start a thread indicating that you are looking for a scrap buddy in the Madison area.
Welcome!
Melanie

Oh wow! You're in Eagle River? We're from Illinois (I know, not Wisconsin) but we go to Conover every summer...been going there for the last 53 years!
How's the economy up there? We want to move there soon!

The economy is really bad esp. with the gas prices up to 4.15. Hopefully there will be a lot of tourists to help the business owners out. Summer up here is great but the winters leave a lot to be desired unless you are an outdoor enthusiast. Kay
I have a feeling the tourists will be scant this summer. We don't consider ourselves tourists, we are wannabe Wisconsinites. Illinois is ridiculous in the winter, we have the humidity even when it's 30 below. Up there, we can be in T shirts, and be comfortable. If we move, at least I know there will be one stamper I can have fun with! Gas is the same here...yesterday at 4.25, and we're rural. Can't imagine what they're paying in the big city, Chicago!
Can't wait to come up in a few weeks...looking for that huge catch/release Musky!
My annual Shoebox Swap for charity is in South Milwaukee on October 18th as well. I am a little delayed in sending out invitations for the event but wanted to let everyone who participated last year know the event will definitely take place again this year. If you participated last year, you will be getting a personal email invitation from me. After I get responses back from past participants I will know how many openings are left for the event.
I'll be there! I can't wait for the new catty to see what I can make for my swaps!

HI! I might be interested. Where is Cedar Creek Lodge? Elaine
I'm not sure but when I googled the Lodge name I came up with Wausau. But the definitive word would have to come from Joanie or Jodie. Not sure I want to drive that far....
