This is for April 19th in Woodstock, GA. Thanks Girlie Girl, Pam, for help with the details :-).
I have reserved a room at the Woodstock, GA VCCI Clubhouse on Sat., April 19th, from 10-4. It will be of the same format the other North Ga. swaps have been in the past, if you've never been to one, I will explain:
Shoebox Swap, Dirty Stamper Game, Demos, Door Prizes, Pizza, Snacks and LOTS OF FUN!
I will now just update this thread, not the one that I had started last Fall and started updating again recently. The location of this clubhouse is 103 Myrtle Rd, Woodstock, GA 30189. This is close to several surrounding towns such as Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Dallas, Ball Ground, Canton, Alpharetta, Roswell, and of course, Atlanta. If you can make the date, please let me know and I will add you to the list so we know how many swaps to make. I am going to assume that everybody attending will be participating in the shoebox swap, unless you tell me otherwise.
RULES FOR SHOEBOX SWAP:
*Full cards only - if your project is a card
*SU products and current SU stamps are preferred. It is OK to use other brands, but many people like to show their creations to customers and would not be able to show non-SU products.
*Make sure to bring enough supplies for each person to make or take a card.
*Bring everything needed for the card--this means the stamps, the ink, the embellishments, hole punchers, cutting tools, scrub pad and mist, etc. Please label your items with your name or initials. Each person should bring their own basic adhesive to use at the different stations.
*Pre-cut as much as possible and put all of the ingredients into individual baggies. It helps to have one baggie per person so that if we run out of time, we can grab the bag and assemble it at home. It helps if you have the directions on a sheet as a guide.
*You can choose any project--cards, 3-D, mini-books, 6x6 scrapbook pages, etc. Think outside the card :-)
*Make a sample for your station and put your name with it so we know who designed each card as we move around the room.
*Bring your best ideas and work!!
DIRTY STAMPER GAME:
This is such a fun game! Everyone always enjoys this, if you have never played it, you must try it!
*Girst should have at least a $10-$20 value.
*Wrap the gift!!
*Gifts can be SU products, hand made crafts, girly things, any stamp or scrapping related product, etc.
*If you bring a stamp set, please don't use used or retired sets.
*We will draw numbers and go over the rules before we start.
LUNCH AND SNACKS:
Unless there is an overwhelming response to not having pizza, we will order pizza to be delivered around noon. Please PM me if you can not deal with eating pizza.
There will be munchies to snack on, as I am a chocoholic, there will be chocolate present. If you would like to bring a snack to share, please feel free to do so.
There is a refrigerator at the clubhouse if you need to refrigerate drinks, please bring your own water bottles and soda, etc.
DEMO'S
*If you would be willing to demonstrate a cool technique or product, we would love to see it, please PM me so we don't duplicate things.
Demonstrations:
DawnB-ATC cards
DOOR PRIZES:
*If you would like to draw for door prizes, please PM me with what you would be willing to donate as a door prize.
COST:
The clubhouse rental is $150, depending on the final number attending, the cost will be distributed over the number, if we have 40 people, it is $3.75 each. Only other cost is for pizza, if you want in on what we order.
UPDATE: Please see thread #40 from Girlie Girl (Pam) regarding how we are going to go about making room for more people at this event. When making your swaps, you will make half of them up as complete cards, the other half will be made up by the attendees. That will cut down on the time, but still let everyone enjoy cards and come home with a bunch more swaps.
I am looking forward to seeing both old friends and new ones! If you have any questions, please PM me.

Maria,
I picked up the following items for door prizes: (all Martha Stewart discounted 75%) 4 bottles of glitter ($5), 2 punches ($10), 4 gift boxes ($5),
2 sets cards/envelopes ($7), 2 rubon monograms ($6), 2 rubon letters ($4), 2 rubon stickers ($4), 1 library pockets ($3), 1 Halloween ribbon ($6). That should total 20 items. ($115 worth of merchandise cost $30) Are you going to use each single item as a door prize or put them into "packets"? The store still has quite a bit of rubons, punches, glitter, etc. - which we could get some more so that we would have 1 door prize per person (figuring on 40). Just let me know what you think.

Got My swaps all finished up and bagged, even got the directions all printed up.
I have a total of 18 unmounted stamps, a package of various buttons, offray peel and stick ribbon trios, Portafolia alphabet pack stickers, American traditional Lil charms, weekend cropper page title "its a celebration", EK Sucess Paperkins, Remember When Summer Fun accents, Xpressions Wired words, Making Memories leather frame, Making Memories leather corners, colorbok My type Punched alpha clips, We R memory keepers Tags, All night media brass stencil, K&Company Tag book, package of Endless-Designs Vinyl clings. Myself and Helen will contribute all of the above for part of the door prizes.
Now I still need to get my ATC demonstration together and then I will be all set for the fun. Can't wait to meet each of you.
I just sent a PM to everybody with some updates. I mentioned that I will bring name tags and grid paper for everybody.
Susan and Dawn, thanks so much for all the door prizes. I was planning on bringing a few myself. I am sorry that I didn't mention Dawn in the PM for all the door prize donations. I missed that post. You two are very generous!!!!
Hi all,
Been working on my cards. Can't wait until the swap! Quick question - do we need to include envelopes with our cards? (I don't ususally use SU envelopes - imagine that!) Also, as I was working on mine, I realized that time may be a factor in completing 20 cards, so we might need to indicate if our cards just need to be assembled, or if there is actual stamping involved. For instance, my cardstock will be cut to size, the main image will be stamped, and it will need to be watercolored (I will provide inks and blender pens). However - that could be done at home if someone ran short of time. But, two portions of the card will need to be stamped (I will have the stamps and ink available). If someone ran out of time and did not have that particular stamp set at home, they could not complete the card. So by indicating that a portion needed to be stamped at the swap, they could complete the card later. Is this as clear as mud?

I don't recall ever seeing envelopes there. Let's just establish now that nobody needs to bring them.
As for the indicator for the stamps, since we will each have a finished sample at each station I think that if we need to pick up ours to go we can see if there is any stamping that needs to be done. If you don't finish making your 20, then give yourself an extra 20 minutes or so at the end to visit each unfinished station to stamp what is needed. It's safe to assume that each card will need something stamped on it.
It also speeds things up to take care of little details before coming. I am pre-tying all of my bows and adding brads to pre-punched flowers to save time that day.
I always bring my camera to take a picture of each card I don't get to so I know exactly how to assemble it at home. It is also fun to get candid shots of the gang!
Don't forget, if you have a new technique or project feel free to do a demo. I already see where one person is demo'ing. We love learning new stuff!
I am almost finished with my swaps! I kept it waaaay simple this go round but I think it's a great card. How's everybody coming along? Only 1 week+1 day to go!
I have added Sllybean and just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that you do NOT need to bring envelopes for the cards, you can if you want, but it is not required.
There is only one spot left if anyone would still like to come.
There are some places to eat that are within 5 miles of the site if you don't want to get pizza. Also, there is a refrigerator in the clubhouse for those that want to bring their own lunches.

I will be working on my swaps this weekend. I already have in mind what I want to do, just need to get my cardstock cut and ready. Can't wait to see a lot of you again and meeting all the newbies!
Since I've not spoken in a while, just wanted to let you know that I am definitely coming. I've made all 20 to swap and 20 to make. I get to stay with my friend who lives just a few minutes down the road, so I'm making a weekend of it. Yeah! (She won't be coming...a little overwhelming for the first timer.)
I'll try to come up with something for a door prize and possibly dirty stamper.
Can't wait to meet you ladies and see some awesome card ideas. I feel mine's a bit simple, not much stamping, but my goal this time was to incorporate more DSP and TxtCS using punches. I hope you all like it!
See you in a week!!!

I have all my paper cut and punched--now I just need to assemble cards and the kits!
For door prizes, do we bring one thing, or a bunch of things? Or sets? I'm not sure what is expected.
I'm sooo excited! This'll be my first SCS get together, too!

Hi Sharon- Bringing a door prize is totally optional. We have people bringing anywhere from 1 to 20 or more. It can be anything you think a girl would like. We have had everything from soaps to candles to stamp sets to hand stamped gifts to supplies...you get the idea.
Each person will put their name in a bucket and we will draw names every few minutes until the prizes are gone. If there are more prizes than people then we will put all the names back in and keep drawing until the prizes are gone. Hopefully everybody will get something!
