Our Inspiration Challenge regulars are often very much into 'design' as much as card making. I have learned that you appreciate the challenge of combining elements to create something special. Well have I got a treat for you! This weeks' inspiration challenge is a blog filled with design options:
Since our inspiration site has a ton of cards (smiles), I'd also like to challenge you to 'learn' something from the design aspect of the inspiration pieces you pick. There is much to learn from our Guest Hostess and author of the blog, Arizona Maine (aka Angela Maine). She is a true master of color combinations, textures, die cutting, layering, as well as how to integrate unique and eye-catching accents into her card designs without making them look too 'busy'. Her style is mostly Clean and Simple but with an elegance and style that I just can't get enough of! Every design has a lesson in creativity, with dynamic illusions of movement and warm expressions of love! If you feel so inspired to do so, please share the design lesson that you gleaned from your selected inspiration piece in the description of your upload. I sincerely hope this inspires you to add something new to your design toolbox this week!
Challenge Goals:
Take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today .
Please remember, your inspiration should not come from her SCS gallery, instead you'll want to be inspired by images from the "from the tool shed" blog, and provide links to the blog in your description.
Use the keyword: IC477 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 5 of my favorites below. So you can just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger. Please let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Audrie- Thanks for giving us inspiration from Angela's wonderful site! I was inspired by the sparkle and star treatment inside the rectangle frame- with Gold+Happy+New+Year I used TCP's Hearts and Flowers for my bee and flower and rectangle, and added my sentiment and banner from TE's Banner Day 2. Went with a large yellow frame over my cake background, and added a partial smiley face sticker. Here's Sunshine Bee

Audrie, I have to agree with everyone here saying that you choose the most amazing inspiration sites!! Thank you! And, Angela, you create the most beautiful and regal cards. Your first card on your blog today, hugs and kisses, is so stately and beautiful!

out of all of the incredible cards on that blog, because I wanted to use my much-loved woodgrain embossing folder in a different way. This didn't quite turn out the way I pictured, however :-) I rarely make such a "masculine" card, I just realized, as I have more flower stamps and dies than anyone actually needs and I just keep buying more lol but this was a good departure for me.
what a fantastic blog and you described her work to a T, I just love her CAS style! This card was my inspiration. I loved the colors and the subject.
Here is my take on it: Dirty Martini
