This is great, ladies. I've just taken a quick look at the thumbnails and I love it when there is so much diversity in interpretation. Much, much better than when all the cards look 'alike'. KWIM? Great challenge, Karen!
Sooooo love Picasso! Don't have time this morning, have a sorority function today and if I can stay away from the mimosas I'm playing this evening when I get home!
OOOOO!!! This is a COOOOOL one!! Have a commitment this am....hoping to get this in early afternoon...(I'm thinking and now trying to stay away from looking at any examples so that the card is truely inspired......)
I am cracking up reading all the posts. Not that I had anything to do with this Camel sample, tee hee. But I have been very inspired and have made 3 cards so far..........
My camel turned into a butterfly. When I saw today's challenge I immediately thought of this Butterfly stamp, which I regret buying. Just had to have it but have not been able to do anything with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Here's my card. TFL
I have to say what this challenge first reminded me of--E. B. White--the children's book illustrator. He does the wonderful, lavish African American illustrations in books such as Amazing Grace. Anyway, he spoke at the children's story hour when my DD was younger. At the end he played a game with the children called Squiggles. He allowed the child to scribble with the marker on his flip chart. In one minute he turned it into an animal and the child got to take it home. The children didn't get to suggest what animal he turned it into. He turned DD's scribble into a horse and she was thrilled. His squiggles looked exactly like this camel drawing.

Oh wow Beverly that sounds cool! I just love watching people with talent drawing - it is fascinating how they "see".
Okay, gals. Part of me can hardly believe that I'm uploading this for all of you to see. The other part of me says that this is what the IC is all about, taking chances and going where the inspiration moves you. So, here's quite possible the simplest card ever uploaded on SCS: Miss You
Needless to say, this was DEFINITELY an inspired challenge, Karen! Way to go!
I had to play a little bit more--y'all's funny cards inspired me to have some fun! Now I have to quit playing and go get my work done! Thanks for the fun challenge, Karen! Bird and Camel Frog and Camel
Finally got this done ladies! This is my tribute to any mother who has nursed a sick kid for days, only to end up catching the bug herself!!!
Don't know if I can leave it like this - the SCS royality and the entire Dirty Dozen would have to stay they liked it before I could mail this the way it is:rolleyes:
When I first looked at it I saw the camel, then I also saw an old man with a big nose (profile), then I started to see other things. Which made me think of Rosarch inkblots! So that's modern art for ya! So here is me, being a Picasso - ette - and my modern art. It is a genuine!
