It is just regular flashing - it is thickish, but can be cut fairly easily with scissors. I ran it through the Big Shot twice to get a good cut - ran it through and then reversed it through again. You do have to be careful that the flashing doesn't move. It runs through the Big Shot in embossing folders no problem. I did this project with my card club and they loved it! From one roll of flashing you could make quite a few of these.
