Default Too much pattern paper??

I recently started going through my pattern paper and started to cut it into 6 x 6 sheets and standing it in a perfect box to sort it. I think that I will be more inspired to find and layer if they are right at my finger tips.

Anyone else do this?

Lorri

Funny how that stuff accumulates. I sorted mine and had a huge stack I knew I'd never use. I gave it to my grandkids school.

I did mine too...and put it in one of those fabric covered crate thingys that I found at Michaels. I sorted by colors as well.

I just started doing this last night. I have a plastic file box. and I started cutting all my 12x12 down to 6x6 Since I'm a card maker. It works great for me.

I also took all my scraps and cut them to sizes that I would use. And then threw away the rest of the pieces that were to small to use.

This should make my life and stamp room much easier to deal with.

I think this a good idea. I keep card making print paper seperate from my scraping paper.
But I have question, Why 6x6 size. I know when I have done card kit swaps ans they ask for 6x6 sheets too, just follow the instruction of the swaps...lol

But if there a really reason that I would undeestand, I will be right on that to cut is all down and make for easier.
Let me know,
Thanks

Mine has been in 6X6 sheets for awhile now. Makes it so much easier to paw through to find what you want.

I just did it 6 x 6 because I have 6 x 6 pads already. I usually only make 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cards so I suppose it would make more sense to cut in threes one way instead of two. But you do end up with 4 pieces of paper cut (I hope this is making sense) and we do want to use up our pattern paper so we can buy new stuff to replace what we use up. LOL

Now just to show how long I hold on to a piece of 12 x 12 or don't think to use it, I cut up a couple of really cool coffee word sheets I had downloaded in 2006!!!!! That is more than hoarding. And I am a coffee fanatic and make those types of cards all the time. So now it is cut and ready to make a card for someone.

Oh and the boxes I am storing the paper in neatly like files are from Costco. I noticed the epsom salt boxes on the pallet that hold two bottles were just the right size so I grabbed two empty ones. They would have only recycled them anyways.
