Default Used DVD cases

I have some unmounted stamps, and want to make more, but I struggle with storage.

There was an offer on Freecycle for bags worth of "soft DVD cases".

For those that have traveled this road before, what types of DVD cases are useful for storage of unmounted stamps? Pictures of yours, or commercially available examples, would be useful!!!

TIA-

Every DVD case I've ever seen had a built-in holder for the DVD itself that is not removable and would dig into the stamps and do damage. If you wanted to put the stamps around the edge of the holder, you could, but you'd lose a lot of storage space that way. I've been buying the Stampin'Up! DVD-style cases (4 of them for around $5), and I can put 7 or 8 stamp sets in each one (I have them on both sides of the case itself, plus on an insert made from acetate). There's more info on my blog HERE, if you want to see what I'm talking about...

All of my stamps are unmounted and until recently I stored them in DVD cases. I purchased the Super Jewel Box King from Sleeve City (www.sleevetown.com). They are clear and the insert is removable. In fact, when I ordered by phone I asked them to remove the insert before shipping so I got just the plain case. You could double check to make sure that the insert is still removable.

More recently, I transferred all my stamps to Univenture storage boxes and like it so much.

Thanks for the feedback - sounds like "soft DVD cases" aren't going to be the solution, even if they're free ;-)
