Ready for a new Mix-Ability challenge?!! We hope you're having fun with these! Our goal is to make mixed media easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!

This week, crafters and artists are flocking to Southern California. Why? Warmer weather? Maybe, but it is the week companies release their new products at a huge expo called CHA (craft and hobby association).

New products, even new companies, will be rocking out their new products and rolling out new tools and techniques. In honor of this, use your newest product combined with the rock and roll inking technique. Do you really need a reason to use those new toys?

If you're storm or cold weather-bound, ink up some sunshine!

Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HERE for a list of supplies you could choose from. If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy!

This was a neat technique, I practiced a few times on scrap paper and then prayed to the Lord to help me with the 'Real thing'. Giggles. This is what I came up with. Fun challenge!

Now that I have this posted I realize that I meant to use my NEW Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers but then didn't. So my first challenge in many, many years and I have failed. LOL! Well, the watercolor paper is new (1st time using it this week) so maybe I am OK on all points. :-) Thanks for a fun challenge.

This is my very first challenge :-) I hope you all enjoy as much as i have enjoyed your cards. I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong but i'm trying to post the link to my card and i get the error message "You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 3 or more forum posts".

Anyone have this problem before?

I have no idea what the "other sites" comment is about, but this is your third post. So it sounds like you are good to go.

Also, unless you are a "fan club" member, your upload will need to be approved. I believe there are no upload approvals on Sunday.

FYI, I tried this one. I learned that it is hard to rock n roll if your acrylic block is a lot bigger than your stamp. If I can find a smaller block, I'll give it another try. I really like the examples I'm seeing in this thread.
