Today I am celebrating Good Friday. When I was young I always wondered why it was called Good Friday because Jesus dying is sad not good. As I have grown in my faith I have learned that God can take even the worst and saddest events and make something good and joyful. My husband has a neurological condition probably ALS that has made him decline in health. It is definitely a time of sadness in my house. Each day I remind myself to look for joy. Funny thing is when I look for joy I usually find it. One of the moments of joy in my week is my art club. Once a week I take my art supplies and share them with children in my community. It is so fun to see the excitement when they try something new. This last week I took my gel press and let them make monotypes we added butterflies and the stamped sentiment. We put our projects in our art journals. So my challenge for you is to look for good and joy. Add something to you project that brings you joy. For me I love butterflies. So that is my joy.

What a wonderful challenge to find good in bad. We can always count our blessings. I can imagine the sadness in your house, MariLynn, but you are strong in your faith and I know, as you said, you can always find joy.
