Ahh you crack me up. Last night I was hunting for a new die, wee little thing it was, did the big search, gave up went to make a die cut of something else and it fell of the magnet plate I have for the cuttlebug. I wonder how much time we all end up wasting looking for things?
I lost the teeny tiny nose to the Elizabeth Craft snowman die Christmas. Searched and searched. Even emptied the trash and picked thru it. Put a magnet on the end of a metal ruler and ran it all over my floor. Shook my Big Shot upside down (no mean feat), Gave up. While plugging in my air conditioner....it fell of the plug!!!!!!
Speaking of lost things and crazy ways & places to find them....
I had lost my wedding ring of all things. My husband and I looked, and looked. We could not find it. A year later, I was looking for something else in a place I had looked for my wedding ring a hundred times. While I didn't immediately find the thing I was looking for ..... I did find my wedding ring. A year later!
I had picked up a brooch I was keeping for sentimental reasons. I had looked under it a thousand times, but this time (who knows why) I looked at the backside of it ... there was my wedding ring! It had gotten caught in the clasp and was stuck behind the pin. Crazy!
I had taken it off because it was in danger of loosing the big diamond. Now, it is in a very safe spot until we can afford to have it fixed. Maybe if I didn't buy any more stamping and crafting supplies .... ? Right now, I'm just glad to have found it!
I lost an 'nice' earring the day of my daughter's birthday party at a pizza parlor. Wrote if off as a LOST item. I think it was more than a year later that my daughter was reaching under the front passenger side seat for another lost item. She yell, 'Ouch!' because she had been poked by the pointed end of the earring post. This was after multiple car washings where they are supposed to vacuum the rug of the car. The post must have gotten snagged in the pile of the rug.
I have a lost magnet somewhere in my crafting area. Bought replacements so I thought it would show itself but it is still a 'no show'.
Lydia,
Next time maybe it will let you know that it's 'hide and seek' game time!
Thanks for sharing. Gives me a new place to look for my lost things. Today I have been looking for my baby stamps, baby embellishments, 2 pairs of scissors, my pokey tool, and the pack of graphic 45 paper I was planning to use at a crop tomorrow. Did manage to find all of them except the paper pad. Don't think it's magnetic though. LOL
