Challenge Title: Orange in October Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP61 Date: October 17, 2022
Hello! The leaves where I live are all in their colorful glory! Shades of reds, oranges and yellows are everywhere I look. I recently had to make a Thank You card for someone who did something for me on short notice.
I was inspired by the trees outside my home to create this autumn-colored card. I used distress oxide inks for the ink blending ombre technique and also used it for the die cuts. The MISTI helped me stamp the background frame and also the arched sentiment. I was able to stamp twice on both for a nice crisp image. I love the precision I get with the MISTI.
DID YOU SEE THERE'S A TEAL MISTI NOW?
I'm so in love with that ombre ink blending. Looks like a late summer sunset.
Your challenge this month is to create a card using shades of oranges for the greater part of the design. That's it! Pretty easy!
Good luck to you and thanks for participating!
MISTI Monday
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. All MISTI Monday Challenge Entries must be uploaded to your member gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than Sunday, October 30th, at Midnight, Central Time, to be eligible to win a $50 gift certificate to the My Sweet Petunia store! The winner will be announced on Monday, November 7th, before the November challenge is posted.
2. You may combine this challenge with other challenges, and also have multiple entries. Please use a full description on either how you used your MISTI or, if you don't own a MISTI, how you would have loved to incorporate its help!
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.

Here is my Orange card for this month. As I noted in the description, I use my Misti every single time I stamp to get a crisp image--and a second time if needed.................
Oops! I forgot to say that I don’t have a MISTI, but would LOVE to get a teal one. I know it would help in so many ways. Thank you for the opportunity!
Happy Halloween Weekend SCS Friends. I have another orange card for this month's challenge! I love using my Misti for small images to be sure the inking is crisp!
Good Morning--and one more Pumpkin for me this month! I always use my Misti and I am about ready for a new one! It is important to have a Misti when stamping both large images, like the pumpkin but also fine lines, like in the flowers.
I'm pretty new to Splitcoaststampers and don't know how to link my cards here. I uploaded them to my gallery and used the keyword so they show up in the MISTI Monday October album, but I don't know how to share the link here in the discussion like I see others doing. If anyone has time to let me know how to do that, I'd be grateful. TIA.

First of all, your cards are lovely! I like how you took instructions and converted them to an easier option for you using your supplies. The keyword is all that is required and you are in the challenge, but I will do my best to explain.
I open two windows. One has this thread open and the other has my gallery card open. I copy the link for my card and past it to the thread on this forum. I am not a person who knows how to perform the pretty links with words like some people, I simply cut and paste. I hope this explains it. If I didn't explain well, please continue asking.
I have added another entry in my gallery for MSP61, but have not successfully linked it here.
I used my MISTI for repeat stamping, as I do for most of the cards I make. Like Barbara stated for herself, it is time for my old MISTI to be replaced. Lol! Like everyone else posting here, I’m hoping to win one of these months. Thanks for the opportunity.
Gratitude by ozarkstamper at Splitcoaststampers
I finally got the link to copy and paste, but it still isn’t showing up among the group of submissions when I type in MSP61 in the search window.
Also since it is Sunday, your photos will not be approved till tomorrow. If you join the fan club, that will not be an issue. I will be sure and check tomorrow as I know they will be lovely.
Thank you, Lisa!
I wondered if they had to be approved first. I did notice, though, a number of “views”, so it seems that portions of the system work without approval. The linking stumps me every month. Perhaps I wasn’t giving it enough time for approval after uploading before linking. I appreciate your help.
Good evening, everyone! ( Sorry I'm a day late, I had an AWFUL migraine yesterday that started during work. I laid down when I got home with the full intention of getting up in a couple hours, hopefully feeling better. Well, I slept through the entire night. )
I hope you all had an enjoyable October! I know we had a late start due to my COVID ailment, but the cards you all created are incredibly beautiful! I'm really glad I don't have to pick winners and I get to draw them randomly, because they're all amazing!
Orange is a color that's been growing on me lately. I'm not sure exactly why, but I'm happy it's happening. Sometimes we get in the habit of doing what we know and what we typically do, because it's easy and comfortable. Heading off the path well-traveled, onto a lesser-known path, creates excitement and gets us out of our same old, same old.
Thank you all for participating in my orange challenge.
The winner this month is.....lovinpaper! Her Birthday Dahlia card, with envelope, is such a happy and cheerful card. Going a step further, creating a coordinating envelope, adds such a nice touch, as well. Anyone would be happy to receive this card to brighten their day.
I'm working on the November post now and will be publishing it soon.
Thank you all!

Thank you so much! That card was mailed this week to one of the Birthday RAK people on my list. I love the challenges. They help me use what I own and often make me think or use a color I do not normally use.
