Do they come with the same warranty as ones that aren't refurbished?
IE: if the lid starts to crack, (which I see is a problem in another tread) will it be replaced?

Am I crazy to think I should be allowed to buy one of the $35 ones since I have one that has cracks along one side of the lid but it is "not under warranty" because I bought it in late August last year, before the warranty was put into place?
My MISTI is still usable, but the cracks will grow and eventually it won't be usable.
I am a bit confused. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The original MISTI, the one people have had cracking issues with, had the laser etched lid. These are the ones that you've refurbished and sold at a discount.
The full price MISTI available on the site are screen printed. These are the ones with no cracking issues.

Does this mean you'll have more of the refurbished laser etched positioners at the end of the month? Or will the upcoming batch be new, with laser etching but without the cracking issues?
I know that 99 percent of the people who buy MISTI swear by it. I'm intrigued. I'd love to have one myself. But I need to be very careful that when I spend $50+ I'm not one of the 1 percent, especially since my luck tends to follow Murphy's Law.

The crazing issue has been resolved. It occurred in the flame polished manufactured MISTIs. The laser etched ones did not have the same issue.
The laser ones at the end of the month will not have the flame polish which was to blame for the crazing.
That does clarify. And it's great that you can get the laser top without the flame polish.
I just might ask Santa for a new laser etched MISTI for Christmas. :-)
