When someone bumps a thread it means to "bump" the thread to the top, although any comment or post will bring the thread back up to the top. Hope that helps.

You can also subscribe to a thread by going to the top of the thread and choosing the drop-down thread tools tab. Then you can choose subscribe to thread, and also pick if you want email notifications, etc. I always thought "bump" was when you wanted to take an old thread and move it back up to the top of the threads, so it will be noticed again. Regardless, I am glad this thread was bumped to the top, because I had forgotten about this cute idea.

Welcome to SCS! Some people also "bump" their own threads, because when you post anything (like the word "bump"), it moves the thread to the top of the topic list. :cool:
