Had a rather productive day. Got 3 more pages done for a total of 8. All three are from the Creative Memories Winter Reflections kit that was the open house gift with a purchase from an open house a friend had. I really was not that taken with the papers at first as they simply did not make me think "Christmas" but they did work well with these pictures. No doubt you ask why I would do 3 pages with pretty much the same photos, well Merry Christmas is for Brynn's book, Joy is for her brother Mason and tis the season will go in my somewhat neglected book. That handsome man in the photo in tis the season is our youngest son Chad and those are his beautiful children.
Merry Christmas is a really quick and easy layout with torn paper for the journalling block and the contrast paper. I inked the edges of the journalling block with Chocolate Chip to soften it a little.
Joy took a little longer as I used a SU stamp set and the ornament punch and heat embossed my ornaments with copper tinsel and snowflake tinsel embossing powder. I also coated my brad with versamark, dipped it in the copper embossing powder and heated it. The ornaments are layerd on using stampin dimensionals.
Tis the season was again pretty easy. The big star is from one of the papers in the pack, I glued it to a piece of cardboard (the backing from the paper pack) carefully cut it out using my craft knife and inked the edges with Chocolate chip. I used stampin dimensionals a lot on these pages to give depth and add interest.
Thanks for looking.

I had the directions saved from somewhere on SCS...
Making your URL address into word description!
Type your message in the advanced window (click Go Advanced below the Quick Reply box).
Type whatever word/phrase you want to link.
Open another tab or window (I do this in tabs. In Windows (not sure about Macs) there is a small square to the right of the tab at the top of your screen below the address bar. If you put your arrow over that small square, you will see a paper and star appear. Click that box.
Go to the page you want to hyperlink in your gallery.
Copy the address (url) in the address box (you can right-click and copy).
Go back to the first tab with your message and highlight the word or phrase you want hyperlinked.
Click the icon above the message box with the globe and chain link in it.
A pop up box will appear.
***Take out the http:// in that box (if you accidently have it twice your link won't work).
Right click and paste (or type Control + v).
Click OK.
You should see your highlighted words become surrounded by html code (brackets, all caps, etc.).
If this doesn't work, you'll need me to come visit! LOL!
AHHHHH!!!!! I can't get it to work:mad:.............OH sorry, Thanks Terry, but I must be to computer illiterate when can you come for a visit

I haven't uploaded anything for sooo long and I have a new computer that I don't know how to use -- I'll just have to play around with how to do this.

You CANNOT convince me that a person who creates such beautiful digi LO's can possibly be computer illiterate!!! You must just be having a mental block! Keep trying! Don't give up!!!

I'm going to start doing this. My problem is that in our town there is nowhere to get pictures developed anymore. I tend to go in and get everything printed and then I only use 1/2 of them. I was short on time and when we got home from Germany, I took in my memory card and had every picture printed -- cost me over $100 (yikes) and I'm not even using 1/2 of them :(

52 Week Challenge #2
Good Morning All...
In "Case" of Inspiring Friends...
I know that many of us have put a lot of focus into ourselves over to past couple of weeks and so I thought this week it would be good the spend some time drawing strength and inspiration from our friends. A while back I was invited to check out a new thread here at SCS and I found it to be lots of fun! In putting my thoughts together for the challenge today, I went there for some new ideas and this is what I came up with...
My challenge is for everyone is to go play the "Come Play the Scrap Comments Game". Details for the game can be found in post #1. The only catch is that you not only have to comment on the next person in line but you have to choose one page or LO from that person and "Case" or "Scraplift" it.
In following the challenge details I was to comment and case one of Michelle's (fmtinsley) LO's. I chose "Gifts, Games & Dancing"

You know what... I only print photos once a year, and I don't feel guilty about it at all! If there's something I need immediately for a scrapbook layout I'll print it on my home computer. Otherwise, I just wait until the end of the year, buy a huge prepaid package from Shutterfly, and then order all at once.
Of course, I usually scrapbook digitally, so I don't feel so much pressure to have current hard-copy photos...
HOLY CRAP! Lovely picture but very daunting to me!!

I totally agree!!During last Friday's 2 hour school snow delay, I went thru pics and sent them to snap fish. I narrowed it down to 750 pics from Jan 09 until Christmas 09. No wonder I wasn't productive, I didn't have any pics to work with. My sweetie just sent me a text letting me know that they arrived. Just in time!! Now I can sort thru them and hopefully participate in the VSBN

we have been using winkflash.com to print our pictures ONLY because they're sooooooo cheap. and we've never had a problem with the quality. in fact right now they're having their 6-cent sale... if you click the link then it'll take you to the page with the code. i think we've ordered 500-700 at a time and even with the shipping it ends up being 6 or 7 cents. and being in hawaii, shipping is a big deal because most places charge extra for sending it here which doesn't make sense to me!
but it takes about a week or so to get here so i'll probably send a couple hundred to costco and pick it up in a day! i think it's 13-cents there.

i would really like to have the option of printing at home... what kind of printer do you use? and photo paper?? i have a canon 9100 (or something, its the OLD wide format one) and have used kodak picture paper and HATE the way the pictures come out... and then they fade over time. maybe it's true that you have to use canon paper with canon printers and so on...

i feel your pain!! good for you to be able to do that in 2 hours though! haha. i anticipate this taking me hours on end for a couple days... i am SUPER an*l-retentive when it comes to organizing my pictures, which is why DH won't help me! i think he tried to help once and i got mad because it wasn't "right" lol. so now, i have THOUSANDS of pictures to organize.

Wow...you gals are wearing me out with all these FABULOUS pages! I've been leaving some luv in the gallery but still have about 80 pages to go...that is if you all don't upload anymore ;-) Internet is slowing down so I'll have to start back up tomorrow.
It's inspiring to see all the wonderful pages you've posted. I don't have the style most of you do, much more naked. Pictures, a little paper, writing and stickers. I use fast formulas in my albums and usually have several going at a time. I work until 4:00 tomorrow but hope to stop by after that. BTW I have 9/15 pages done.
