Love the new sketch. Hope I have time to play along this weekend *and* upload some of the layouts I've finished this month.

Hello! I've only got till tomorrow noon before DGS comes home from his week at boy scout camp. I've been working longer hours all week since he wasn't home.

The US Women's Golf tournament is being held about 1 mile from where I work..it's been a challenge coming home at night since the highway I take goes right by the golf course and the major road into the course is closed to thru traffic. Other than traffic right around the Lancaster Country Club golf course, you wouldn't know there was a major event going on though.

Only 3 more weeks until CKC in Lancaster...can't wait! I'm looking forward to being inspired to do some crafting and it's going to be fun to meet the rest of you coming.

Have a scrappy weekend...it's beautiful weather here this weekend so I'll probably be taking advantage and doing some outside yard work since it's been raining here pretty much lately.

My post above won't allow me to edit so...

I forgot to add that since I was asked about possibly suggesting a lunch place on Friday, I looked through nearby restaurants and found this place.

Cafe One Eight, Lancaster - Menu, Prices & Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Seems to be pretty nice..I haven't had the opportunity to try it out but I would like to and it is across from where I used to work a long time ago. And we get to walk through Central Market to get there..another experience as Central Market is the oldest "inside" continuously operating farmer's market in the U.S.

Hello Weekend!
I'm SO GLAD you're here .... I actually finished 2 more pages tonight (Progressive Challenge) and have my (Sketch Challenge) pages laid out too! It was good for a Friday night.

Looking forward to scrappin' this weekend (supposed to be rain again here in Ohio) but need to pack as I'm headed to the "Sunshine State" for a customer event.

Scrap On ...

Got home from my crop last night with 17 pages done, now that I have time to take pictures it clouds up and getting ready to rain somewhere in town!! I'm hoping the clouds will go away before it gets too late....
That makes 23 total for the month which will leave me 9 more to reach 32..... that should be doable at next week ends crop! I have some kits to make up so will check out the sketches and scrap your stash.......

I finished a page tonight, should get a photo tomorrow. There are two more I've started. I was pretty excited about that, yet I'm amazed at the amount Sharon and Lela just reported doing - wow. I need you ladies to share your secrets with me! How do you do so many? What exactly does the "crop" do for you Sharon that gets you to finish so many?

Looks like a good choice Terry!! The map says the walk is only about 4 minutes...unless we get distracted in the market...LOL!! I've heard about the market but have never been there!! Really looking forward to meeting you & Lela in person!! My friends & I are meeting tonight to make our final travel plans.

Well, my scrapbooking has come to a complete stop. My computer crashed this week so I can't use the scanner to scan and upload my finished layouts, nor can I edit any more pictures to print and scrapbook. I'm stuck using my hubby's old and very basic laptop until we go computer shopping this weekend. On the bright side, we have everything backed up on an external drive through the end of May, and I was feeling lazy in June so I didn't download any of my pictures from the camera, so no pictures were lost. Never thought I'd be grateful for laziness!

Absolutely no scrapping done this month--lots of company and busyness! Went to a Dancing With the Stars Tour show last night and it was great!! Val, Peta and several other well-knowns were there. Unfortunately, no pics. But we're heading for Disneyland on Sunday and I should get some fun "summer" pics from that!

Well Wendy, it's always important to actually do stuff so we have pictures to scrapbook, although I guess that shouldn't be our only motivation to leave our scraprooms, right?

LOL! I've thought that at times Cheryl ....want more scrap time but would miss moments for pictures. I'm blessed this weekend to have more time with Mom, Sis, Nephews and Niece ... It's been a great summer for that this year although it's rained this weekend off/on here in FL. I'll be headed to Orlando for work Sunday night, be there 3 days and hope to see a little sunshine while I'm there.

No crafting but life moments which include pictures ... all good

Isn't half of scrapbooking telling the story (with or without photos)??? I've documented stories in my scrapbooks without photos and I love how the pages come out! So ladies, get out and have a great time with or without picture (not that you need permission, LOL!;)). Document the story later (if its worth it)! Summer is such a busy time of the year, to find time to do any crafting can be challenging!! We do what we can with the time that we have

-Do you have an electronic cutting machine? If so, what brand?
-Also, do you have a cuttlebug or big shot machine (or another brand to use for die cutting or embossing)?

I'm thinking of some new ideas for the Stash Buster Challenges and need to know if I'd be excluding anyone.

So I didn't get much scrappin' done this weekend nor did I get a chance to up load any of the pages I have gotten done this month.

But we did finish tiling the floor and painting the walls in the dining room, so I'll happily take that over working on my scrapbooks!

I have a Cricut and a Wishblade, although I don't know if I can even get the Wishblade working with my new computer. I also have a Cuttlebug. If you are trying to do non-exclusive stuff for Stash Busters, may I recommend keeping it neutral (i.e. use a die-cut vs. use your Cricut)? Also, people can at least emboss a straight line using a stylus and their paper cutter, so hopefully embossing challenges wouldn't leave anyone out.

You know Ann, that's a great suggestion. I also want to write about some stories and just use scenery pictures. I wish I would have done that for this weekend...but you have inspired me. So I'm running back out tonight to a fun site I saw to snap some photos to go with a story I want to document .... GREAT IDEA

Also, people can at least emboss a straight line using a stylus and their paper cutter, so hopefully embossing challenges wouldn't leave anyone out.
Thanks for your input and suggestions! Glad to see you got a new computer! Did you use your Wishblade a lot? Just curious ;)I have an Sizzix eclips and I use the Craftedge program so I can download svgs from the internet and use free fonts.

I used to use my Wishblade all the time, and I loved it because you can cut any true type font and also trace an image and create a cut file for it, but then I switched computers about 4 years ago and my new computer wouldn't run the Wishblade program. The company is no longer making the machine and they stopped supporting it a few years ago, so I have to use a Silhouette program to run the machine. I got a Cricut in the meantime and it seemed easier to just use my cartridges with it. However, Silhouette does have a great library of images you can purchase and cut, so I usually go there when I need something that's not on one of my Cricut cartridges. I think Sharon (sewflake) uses a Silhouette (which is almost the same machine) a lot, so she can probably answer questions about it, too.

I hadn't heard of the Wishblade before, so I was curious...I did a little research on it and found the company no longer supports it...bummer! Do the Cricut mat and blades work with it? I saw a couple of folks on ebay selling the mats for outrageous amounts(LOL)!! If not, can you find suitable replacements. I'm thinking of getting a used one for my DD to use but don't want to get her something that you can't find replacements for.

No electronic cutting machine here. I have a Big Shot & Cuttlebug. I use both of them.

I have a circut that I have used just once and a big shot I use almost daily.

Default Stash Busters Week 4 is up!

Im going to mix it up a little this week and try something new! I hope this will give everyone a chance to use up their stash and have more flexibility in the requirements.

Here's the link: Week 4

Just an FYI: I'm not going to post a challenge next week (#5)!

After seeing your LO, I feel so inept! Wow! My LOs are so lame, compared to everyone else's! :(

I bought several mats a while ago and haven't had to replace them since I don't use the machine much anymore. The Wishblade is very similar to the Silhouette but I will have to check if the mats and blade for the Silhouette are compatible with the Wishblade.

I'm leaving for the airport in an hour for a week's vacation, so no scrapping the rest of the month for me! Hope I get to check in and see what everyone is up to, but if not, have a great rest of the month.

Too late to say this to Cheryl as she has probably already left for her vacation, but here's wishing her and family a wonderful time with lots of happy memories!
Sharon, shame on you for saying your work is lame! That just isn't true! Thanks for complementing my pages, but, my friend, your work is very good! I was just going through your pages this evening and I was renewed in my appreciation of your cruise layouts all over again. You have a lovely and very enjoyable collection going on! You are doing marvelously in the "getting creative" department! Do be proud of your contribution to our art of memory keeping, for we all are doing our part in this art form!
