I treated myself to a new camera! I have honestly been kind of scared to learn how to use it BUT I have been taking it slow and trying to do a little each day...it is fun when you realize something cool that you can do! I got a great deal at H H Gregg and got a Nikon D3100 with 2 lenses for $779! The camera and one lens retails for $699! The additional lens I got is a Zoom and I am having so much fun learning it!
Anyway, hubby and I are headed to a cabin in the woods with a hot tub for the weekend! The weather in VA has been gorgeous and so I am hoping to take a little nature hike and take some neat pics while we are away!

Rebekah, I have the same camera and I LOVE it! I got it for Christmas last year! I have those lenses and I always enjoy getting picts with both :o

We're back from vacation and I highly reccomend a Disney Cruise if you ever get the opportunity! The girls went back to school but their spring break starts tomorrow so no rest for the weary mom ;-) Doing loads and loads of laundry today and found out my brother, wife, and nephew will be coming this weekend so need to do some cleaning. I just look as this non-scrappy time as tons of picture taking time but I can't wait to sit down and play. I did get two 8x8 disney scrap books for the dds done but dd2 didn't take pics and wasn't around to be in many so I may confinscate hers ;-) I'll try to post the pages soon.

Awesome! Can you be my go-to gal when I have questions? LOL! I have never had anything other than a point and shoot...well, my other had the capability to be BUT I just never learned it...I am so excited to learn this one BUT also scared I am going to mess something up! AHHHHH!

Wendy you are a fountain of information! I wish I had time to sit and play with my digi. How about I buy a hard drive to send and you do all the work for me ;-)???? I'm hoping to get to it next week once my company leaves.
On another note, I looked out the scrapbook room window earlier and saw about 75 bees swarming. When we bought the house, we saw some bees and the previous owners treated and had a hole closed where they were getting into the attic, and we've not had any more problems in 5 years. Of course, I dropped my Terminix contract, so I've now renewed it and hopefully the bees will be gone again tomorrow. Isn't it always something?
Terry and Mary Pat--my kids are grown, and I'm now retired, so I do have the time and enjoy it so much! When I get on a roll looking at sites, I love to share the info. Maybe you can store it away for the future!!

Hmm...I vaguely remember that time when my child was grown and had moved out....then DGS came to live with us and that "me" time seemed to have disappeared. Oh well, guess it will come back in about another 10 years and hopefully by that time, I'll be retired too! hehe!
I've just made the time to go through the entire March gallery and found some really wonderful pages. Congrats Wendy for having your one page chosen as a favorite this week. It was gorgeous!
Now it's back to book work...it never seems to end anymore but at least my income taxes are done for the year (even if we did have to pay more in to the govt)
Two weeks ago, DGS qualified for a Junior Bowling Tournament. This year was the first time he's ever bowled so it was a real accomplishment on his part. 68 bowlers from our local lanes attended. Last week the top bowlers were announced that were moving on to the State level. He was so disappointed that his name was not called because he had bowled very well and had actually bowled his first 100 game. After the announcement, I went to the counter to see where he had ended up in the lot. Out of 171 bowlers in his division, he had been #25!!! I was shocked to see that and even more so when I noticed that he had missed advancing by ONE pin! The lady running our junior league told me that if one of the kids could not make it the day of the next tournament that he would definitely get the call to go and bowl! So....he's excited again! We won't know now until the middle of May if he'll get the chance to bowl in this next step of the tournament....I did take lots of pictures at the last tournament so I'll have to see if something coming up during VSBN will work with them.

Here's the final layouts I decided on. Realized my background paper was So Saffron not Daffodil Delight like I thought, so I had to fix that up too!
Two pages for me today, though I hope to get another couple done tonight too. I'm getting a lot done now, knowing that as summer gets closer I'll have a lot less time to play when work is so busy. :(
Whew! Last minute visit from DB/SIL and baby nephew just after vacation so it's been a bit crazy...but lots of pics ;-) DDs are on Spring Break but today is catch up with errands day before more fun begins. They go back to school next Tuesday though I do hope I get to scrap before then! I still haven't even uploaded my cruise photos!
I'm loving your pages even if I haven't had time to stop and write. I'm hoping now that the baby is gone to bring out the laptop and do some this evening! Your pages are making me want to scrap a whole lot though!!! :-)

hello! Just having lunch at work and clicked on this blog...if anyone uses their Cricuts, this lady does quite a bit with the cricuts and gives away freebies too!
Alright, so I posted last month that I was going to start doing this again and then I didn't post again. Shame on me. Things started to get crazy. My hubby is a tax accountant and we decided to put an offer on a house and it was accepted. So lots of things going on. But I am so proud of myself. I did a page!!! So a goal of 2 again this month!
It is raining here, so perfect, except i have to go run errands. Shoot!

Nice challenge...I like to use "stitching" on my pages and I just saw some pages in the gallery that used stitches outside the corners of the pictures. Looked very cool! I won't be home much in the evenings this week though to have time to scrap. You'll have to remind us of some of your challenges next week when VSBN is on.
