I say use what you like. I use the heavier paper because I'm usually watercoloring with distress inks. If you're not going to use a lot of water, then go with the lighter paper.

She uses copics for the skin tones and the hair. She uses distress ink on the rest of the image. Also, she uses the Bee Paper Manga artist pad. That paper is very thin so you can't use distress inks...
