First, take the plastic guide off of the punch (it's the thing that forces you to put the corner of teh paper in, and if you just pull a bit on the sides it will come unhooked and you can slide it...

Well, it's a little tricky, but since SU 12x12 CS is one-eighth-inch short of 12", I figure that 6" is actually 5" and 15/16".

It's sort of a pain, but it seems to work out all right.
