WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE MMTPT574 "Flowers Need Water"
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
Challenge This week our guest of honor is our own Cheryl, aka SCS CherylQuilts. I think everybody knows she loves flowers and loves to color images of them. It's summertime and very warm in a big part of the world and flowers need water! So, my challenge is to use water to make your card...you can do water coloring or any other technique using water, or incorporate an image associated with or containing water. If you want extra cookies don't forget some flowers for Cheryl. Destination:
Our sweet DD sister, Cheryl (aka CherylQuilts), is one of SCS's biggest cheerleaders. She's always been one of the first ones to welcome new Dirty Dozen team members to the "Dirty Pile" and is always quick to leave lovely comments on gallery postings. Unfortunately, Cheryl has been faced with a serious health challenge that will take quite some time for recovery and sadly, keep her away from Splitcoaststampers. It will be a while before Cheryl is able to post comments and make cards so let's payback Cheryl with some loving thoughts, encouraging comments and beautiful cards. Let her know that she's thought of even in her absence. Cheryl is faithful so scripture and religious versus are welcome.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
Very sad to read this about Cheryl, Anita, she is just so lovely, warm and beautiful with her wonderful comments. I hope I get time to play this week but, if not, will definitely put a card in the mail for her.

A wonderful thing to have a tea party for Cheryl. She will be so thrilled. I have already sent a card earlier for Cheryl and Walt but I am thinking they can't get enough. She is so special to SCS. I am sending one for Walt, also. They have been through so much.

Got started with this with flowers on my mind with intention of watercoloring with Distress Markers, but then realized after trying on petal that this may make my envelope less sturdy for the mail so just went without the water. But since it was inspired by the challenge am including it in the gallery just the same.
Such a sweet card, Sandie and I love your style that is so beautiful in every detail.

Hello everyone,
here is my 2nd version of the Abstract Lavender card, with envelope showing. I made one for last week's Teapot challenge, as well. Liked it so much, that when this said Cheryl needed our uplift, I just wanted to make another one! : ) made a few changes and Voila, a little different look! hope you enjoy and have a great day out there. ALL POSITIVE THOUGHTS go out to Cheryl. She is a special gift to us. thanks, Teresa
Mad early this card to send to Cheryl. It is HOT here in Texas so I was inspired to use 'hot' colors! I painted watercolor paper with Twinkling H2Os & then die cut the flowers. Die cut my 'curves' and then adhered everything. Added orange Twine & double cut the sentiment. I hope the bright colors bring some sunshine & cheer to Cheryl's day!
Anita, I'm so glad your challenge is to send Cheryl lots of loving thoughts and encouragement. I will try to join in with a new card later this week but we are packing for an out of state move, so if time does not allow, I will definitely send her a recently made card.

Thank you Anita and TEAm for Cheryl's Teaparty. Here's my card, MMTPT574 Sweet Peas for Sweet Cheryl. Glad to see so many showering her with love and support. I'll be back later to comment.
Though I can't play with only my left hand available, I will as soon as I possibly can! But, I want Cheryl to know how sorely she will be missed and is missed. I noticed she had not be showering us with her beautiful work, was concerned, and now I understand why not. Blessings, prayers and HUGs, Cheryl my dear!!

I just found this thread and would be honored to send a card to Cheryl. Are we supposed to do a tea theme, or can it be any theme? Not familiar with the Teapot Tuesday yet.

Welcome to the Teapotters. Any theme is perfectly fine. You can choose your own theme or take inspiration from the teapot and cookies that Anita has included in the challenge.
