Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT824
Eleanor, Gee, I Think You're Swell
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Jennifrann/Jen
CHALLENGE:
Today we are celebrating a 96th birthday! It got me thinking about all the slang words that have come and gone in that time. Try to include one on your card. Here are some examples:
Swell, Far Out, Groovy, Nifty, Neat, Bomb, Funky, Out of Sight, Radical, The Bee's Knees, The Cat's Meow, Dandy, Fab, Fresh...
CARD TYPE/THEME: Happy Birthday
Jacqueline has nominated this week's Tea Party recipient. You may remember MMTPT510 back in May of 2018 when we celebrated Eleanor's 90th birthday. This year on May 16th, Eleanor will turn 96, and we think that is worth celebrating! Jacqueline says her favorite color is peach and she loves flowers (which 90th birthday teaparty). She used to be a hair dresser back in the day - religious and spiritual cards are welcome. Eleanor is the mother of Tea Party recipient, Nancy (MMTPT821)

It's a slow time right now for Tea Party nominations. Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to Jennifrann via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
I hope we get some more destination nominations! For those who don't read all the way to the end of the challenge post ;-), we're really short of destinations right now, and they are what makes this challenge so special.

Some slang comes around with a slight variation . . . I heard a DJ on the radio this week say she liked to keep up with her kids current slang . . . She found out that when they referred to something as COOKING - it meant "REALLY GREAT".
When I was younger we referred to something "REALLY GREAT" as "COOKING with GAS" !! LOL
