Another way to do this, which really makes an interesting look is to take a wheel (the more *busy* the design the better), and after you ink up your stamp with the main color, wiggle (rock and roll) the wheel over the stamp. It gives it a really neat look too.

I love this faux shaving cream technique. Thanks so much, Beth - at first I didn't want to do it and then I figured what the heck! I'm so glad I did - I definitely will be doing more.
Marvelous Morning Glories (the first set I ever bought - the one that got me started - I still love it!)
Thanks for looking.

Such a cool technique, Beth! I love how it turns out, and it IS so much cleaner than the real shaving cream technique. Here's mine:

Enjoy!

I was a bit nervous on this challenge. It is pretty easy and if you mess up, you can wipe it off and start over with the inking -all before putting to paper!
I am not completely happy with this one, but the cable guy came over right in the middle of designing this card and my oldest didn't nap! So, here it is! I will tinker a bit tonight. TFL.

I like this challenge. It will be less messy than the shaving cream.

Big Blossom such seemed natural for this technique. (That and I'm not sure I have any other solid stamps.) So I tried something I've been thinking about for awhile--masking off the central image and stamping BB over it for a *bg* of sorts. It worked well in combo with this technique. It took several tries, but considering the hour, I can live with this one.
Here's a look...

Finally had time to create a card with this technique. My sister did a cute card using this technique last year at a camp, so I learned it from her.
Now off to get my 5 year old in bed... Takes a while...
