Oh my...this was harder than I thought because I didn't want to use an oval or square for my shape. I used a star and was able to do the reverse masking with masking. Reverse Masking Stars

A day late and a dollar short, but here's what I tried for the reverse masking challenge. It's a bit nicer in real life - the photo didn't catch the colours well on this overcast day.
Thanks for this great technique challenge! My card is THREE CHALLENGES in one card. I cased featured stamper HB(carol) for FS09 found here for the inspiration for this challenge and also used the colors from Emily's CC109.

Thanks Beth for the great challenge. I love the look of reverse masking. It's been a while since I was able to do a challenge so I combined it with the color challenge. Here is what I came up with. TFL TLC111,CC109 Heartfelt by tggrfriend at Splitcoaststampers
It's my first attempt at technique challenge, reverse masking, AND using the coluzzle, and I've learned a few things...bummed cause I grabbed the wrong corner punch (meant to grab the ticket one) but...oh well.
URGH!! Seems my first upload was deleted last night cuz it had the same filename as another card (did not know that could happen!!), so I've renamed it and re-uploaded it, as the other link is now non-existent...
Here we go...wish the photo was a bit brighter. Not much sun here today on the prairie...nevertheless, I liked how my card turned out. This was a fun challenge. Might have to do it again.
I'm having issues with my link...so I am trying it yet again...hope this works:
Rose and Sage is my color challenge for this week, as well as the reverse masking technique for this challenge.

I am not going to lie... This challenge kicked my butt... I know there are quite a few of you that liked this color combo, but I did not.. I had a very hard time trying to come up with this card... I don't think I will use these colors together again... I have to admit... was truly a challenge... Hope you enjoy..
I did Monday and Today's challenge in my computer today and uploaded the wrong one in this challenge... Her is the one that is suppose to be in here......The color one kicked my butt, not this one... He He He!!!!!
Better late than never, I hope! I've been struggling to come up with a one-layer card for a swap I'm in, so this technique rescued me! I just didn't have the schedule to do it Monday.
My card used masking and reverse masking...I hope the girls who receive it will like it. I think it would make a good class card for these two techniques. I'm so relieved it's done!
(edited to correct URL since my first card was *eaten*)
This was a great technique to use with my news "Happy Everything" set from Wordsworth stamps. The word "happy" is hollow(?). The mask took a while to cut out, but it was fun & I like the end result. I saved the mask part to use again- and I definitely will! Thanks for the challenge!
