Well, I couldn't resist trying this challenge. Thanks for chosing this technique, Betty! I wish the picture could show how the sunset colors really pop out behind the gold.
Here's my simple card... (almost embarrassed to post it after seeing some of the others...)

I won't be able to participate but for those who want to see stamps created for this technique, check out Michael Strong...I watched him do this with Carol Duvall several years back...
http://www.strongstamps.com/
and I think in the archives, he did it for the scrapbook lounge

BET...TY! As I read your instructions to the challenge, I was thinking, "Hmmm... sounds a bit too many steps for me. And it sounds like it will come out looking very Asian (which is fine and such a beautiful look) so I probably won't be able to utilize the "style" for most of my cards." GASP! Was I wrong?!!! I looked at your sample and my jaw dropped. That is so cool!!! I can't wait to try it! Thanks for the challenge!

Thanks, Betty, for hosting - this is a fun technique I have enjoyed in the past. Saw Michael Strong demo it on Carol Duvall years ago - thanks for jogging the old memory! Here's mine:

I though because they were hyperlinked but I've seen some other gals do hyperlinks that have different colors. So I'm not sure. Sorry I can't help.

Here's my card. I really liked this. I think I used too much CE and it was hard to get my image to lay flat to adhere to the base card. Fun challenge....I'll try this one again.
Thanks Betty !
