TLC178: Twenty, Thirty, Forty
Today we are going to have some flashbacks: TLC
20 CC
30 SC
40
Your task is to make a card
using the technique from TLC20 (baby wipes)
using the colors from CC30 (bravo burgundy(see below!!) and creamy caramel)
using the sketch from SC40.
Note: if you don't have Bravo Burgundy, you can use ANY SHADE OF RED to DARK RED (no pinky stuff. Red to dark red! :-D ). Any shade of light brown is good.
Here are the links for the technique and the sketch:
TLC20
SC40
ETA: If you don't have the appropriate reinkers to do the baby wipe technique, you can substitute the
Crayon Resist technique
Keywords this week: TLC178, TLC20, CC30, SC40.
For your inspiration:

Have fun!

Dirty Dare '08 ! You know you want to stamp along with the Dirty Girls, and it starts TODAY! :-D

Great challenge Beth. I will have to see if I have all the requirements. May have to invest in some Baby Wipes. Thanks for all you do....

One question: Why is Bravo Burgandy not current? It's a Rich Regal color. ???

Baby wipes no problem here, I use them all the time for cleaning my stamps.
But, big but, the only re-inkers I have are Staz-On black and white, and Brilliance blue.
So I'll just enjoy looking at the gallery. And maybe have a go at the sketch on its own :-)

I would think you could use a marker or the corner of your ink pad to apply some ink to the baby wipe and still get a pretty similar look.
Fun challenge, Beth.

Sounds like fun. Can't believe that I've never done this before. I might have to try sometime when I have reinkers. I'll have to play some other day when I get some. Maybe I should go order now. :o)

What about using markers on plastic to see if you can get enough ink resembling a drop of re-inker to play anyway...or marker direct to baby wipe? I have the inkers, but feel for those of you who don't!

Um, ok, I have a question. Is SU! getting rid of Bravo Burgundy? That's one of my favorite colors!

Same issue as the others- no reinker in BB. I'll try to come up with something to join in the fun. Thanks for the triple whammy on a Monday morning-yikes!! I'll check back after work.

Couple things:
I was totally mistaken saying Bravo Burgundy is not a current color. It *IS* current, and I was confused!! So sorry for any confusion!
Second, if you don't have the supplies to do the baby wipe technique, you can do the crayon resist technique instead!
I hope that helps everyone be able to play along.

Oops--I get mixed up on those burgundies too. Bravo Burgundy IS the current burgundy.
Here's mine. I'm stuck on apples lately.

wow! Thanks for the great challenge. I think I'll try the crayon resist since I don't have reinkers, (or any ink in these colors). I'm always up for something new!

off to see if I can find some baby wipes, I think ours are all dried up (youngest is all potty trained!) and I won't use cleaning wipes (they could damage the rubber) so I may just be commenting today...or maybe I will be lazy and do the crayon resist...will get to it after I pick up my kids. Thanks!
