I have two done and was waiting for approval. My linen look sure isn't showing up on screen like some of the others. I wonder if my sandpaper is too coarse. Its all I had in my stamping room. Maybe Ill try with a finer paper if DH has any.
I have dine faux linen before, but I learned a couple new tricks from your link that I am anxious to try. Thanks again Beth for making our technique knowledge grow just by checking out your monday challenges every week. Nancy
I finally got to do one of these--woohoo! And lucky for me, Celery is one of the craft colors I actually own, so I was able to combine it with this week's color combo:
I stamped on all of my faux linen as the main image. I really like how many of you have used the faux linen as a patterened background it looks great. And I never even thought to use other colors! So thanks for the new ideas on how to use this technique!
I finally got the technique right! Moral of the dilemma is to use fine sandpaper not coarse. Hey Roxfollow the direction! But I had course in my stamping room already and it was worn down!
I thought about using the small stamp with the pine cone for background but it took me this long to get that linen to show up so I sure wasnt going to cover any of it up!
Thank you so much for showing us this technique! It's so cool! I had a little trouble scanning mine, the colors are much more subtle IRL. I was kind of going for a Tommy Bahama look.
This is the first TL challenge I've tried (other than VSN a couple of times). What a neat technique. It was fun and I was pretty happy with the look I got. Thanks for the inspiration.
I've been wanting to give this a proper try, so thanks for this great technique! Here's mine. It's not that dark and dull in real life. I'll try, try again!
Wow, everyone seems to love this technique, me included! I'm so glad to finally try this, as it's been on my list to do. Here are my first 4 attempts this week, I'm sure more will follow! Some are combined with other challenges this week:
It's been a while since I've done a TLC!!! This one was so much fun (and I can tell you ladies had fun with this one, too!!!!)
So here is my card; I know I will be using this technique a lot in the future! Thanks, Beth!!!!
You ladies do some AMAZING stamping! I am soo going to try this out sometime today!!! I haven't really done many challenges but I think this is just the inspiration I needed to try some out;) I will post when I am done and uploaded! In the meantime, keep 'em coming

This has to be the most beautiful colection of samples for a challenge ever! I am seriously blown away. And I have not a single sheet of glossy paper to give it a try. Poor me! LOL!!!

Wow Keri sounds like you've barely had time to breathe! Congrats on your big workshop!!! Have a great trip! Just leave some glossy CS and sandpaper out on your stamp table so it's ready to ge when you get home! LOL!
Beth........what an awesome challenge. I had sooooooo much fun. I was even able to combine 3 challenges. Thanks again, Nancy Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I think that I either didn't put enough pressure on the sandpaper or enough ink. Interesting look. I'm going to keep playing. I think that for me the craft ink worked the best. Chalk and classic ink didn't let the line show.

I have been checking out all of your linen cards and I must say...WOW! HAVE to find time this week-end to play. You are all such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your talents.
