My third attempt and I like it. The first two smeared when I crumpled the paper so I switched tissue and it worked. I also found that glitter glue will turn real red to bright orange, not good. Live and learn!
My TLC40..faux silk card. I used a Xmas print tissue paper that worked just fine. I did glue with glue stick to a piece of More Mustard CS, which enhanced the color of the tissue. No stamping on tissue, since it already had a design. It made a quick and easy card. Wish I had mounted the faux silk layer higher......oh well. Enjoy, Nancy
Whoops,,,,,,,thanks Roxie for letting me know that I forgot the link....in a hurry I guess....... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I had to do one more yesterday but of course I can't upload on Sunday. So this one is using a printed tissue for the background. I bought this tissue for cards and only used it once because it wrinkled to easy...hey I didn't know about faux silk then. Thanks Beth for the technique, all that pretty tissue paper that comes in gifts will now have a new purpose.
Loved doing this technique. It really is one of those that looks so much nicer in real life. I could get addicted to this . . . . . . . what am I talking about? I already AM addicted!!
Here's what I did with Faux Silk. I combined both with the last two color challenges - CC38 and CC39.
Whoohooo!! I got to do another faux silk card using patterned tissue paper. I am having a ball on my 1st official day of retirement. Enjoy. Pending as of 3:20 p.m. PST.
A very nice technique - and simple too. I made a few cards already but uploaded only one so far: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
(It's for the sketch challenge also, I posted there as well)
