All right, my faithful TLCers, it is the day after Christmas and I am wiped out! I slept in til 9:30 (gasp!) and realized that it was Monday and time for another challenge. Obviously I had nothing in mind as I obviously had totally forgotten about it! LOL But never fear, I have an idea! As the year comes to close, it is always a good time to reflect upon the last 12 months, and plan ahead for the coming days. So, for this week's challenge, create either a cover for a pocket datebook (found at dollar stores, discount stores, and Michaels) or a cover for your checkbook (which just happen to fit inside the plastic sleeves from the datebooks!) using any of the techniques from the previous TLCs.
There is a thread in this forum that has links to all the previous challenges, but with the site upgrade in Oct, some of the links got broke, and I haven't had time to fix all of them. Refer to it for Techniques, and if you need a refresher course...try the link or do a search within the forum. I will try to get those link fixed today, but no promises! Edit: I believe that the links are ok now. I checked over half of them, and they were all ok. If you find one that doesn't work, please let me know! thanks.
As always, if you have questions, please ask. If you have suggestions, please share! When you upload, please put TLC44 in the keyword section when you upload, and then post a link to your card here in this thread.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us STAMPIN' !!

Thanks, Beth for this challenge. One of my resolutions is to join in on the challenges instead of just browsing everyone else's creations! Time to get started!

Sounds great! I have one I bought at the Dollar store, and I haven't altered it yet b/c I didn't know anyone I could give it to. But I guess I can give it to myself! LOL

Happy New Year Beth.........what a year it is going to be.......I retire on Dec. 29th (thursday).........whoohoo!!!!!! Now I will not have to miss any of your awesome challenges. In fact, I hope to go back and catch up on some I missed. Wishing all a great new year. Nancy
OK, I finally got a chance to stamp. I combined the technique challenge (TLC44) with the color challenge (CC42), but just made a card. I used the hot card technique (TLC12). I used a brown grocery bag, because I didn't want to go hunt for parchment paper. Here's my hot card.
Denise, just upload your creation into whatever the main stamp set is and put TLC44 in the keyword section.
I just thought there might be a gallery for it because I already have several done and in my gallery, and now with the challenge am considering more. Plus, there have been some new gallery categories added recently... Maybe if themods are listening they can create a new category for this... cuz there are some awesome samples already!!
Great idea-I had my ugly datebook in front of me and this was the push I needed.
I used glitter windows and made up my background technique (distressed embossing, LOL)
I've never done the faux linen before, it was neat, but I don't think it showed up very well like I wanted it too. I'd like to try it on something else, though! I love these cheap pocket calendars I got. 25 cents each with the plastic cover!!
