Also, if you don't have crystal effects, you can use Mod Podge or any white glue (like Elmer's). They dry faster, too.
Melody - I just wanted to say that glue does work but not as well. I used this technique last year for Easter Cards and some of the ones I used glue on didn't stay stuck together as well. They didn't come apart right away but I had a few in my demo basket that I had to try to repair. I also have mixed glitter glue and crystal effects together with success. I have to get to a little house work right now but will post one of last years cards and then make a new card later today. Have fun everyone.

HHhhhmmmmm...... I posted mine about an hour ago, but it's still pending. Bummer that it isn't instant anymore. I hate waiting for it!
The ones that everyone shared so far are fantastic!! This was a fun technique. I may do another since I have all the stuff out. My stamping space is still chaos from repainting, so I have to work in the dining room.
I'll post soon, when it gets approved!
Mine is still in the drying stage. I seem to have lost the image a bit. Yes I stamped with stazon on the reverse side of where I did the gooey part. But now I can't see the image very well. Hope it shows up better when it's dry. I'll put it up as soon as I can.
Heather...just stamp again.. I did after it was done...just didn't look like it had enough to me;)

Tip: I used Elmer's glue for some of my other attempts and found that if I spritz water on the glue, it wasmore like the CE consistency. I decided to go with Elmer's while I practiced this technique instead of using up all my CE.
OK, Im off to make some acetate and tissue backgrounds. I tried to find some of my old cards done with this technique but apparently I wasnt as good at remembering to photo all my work back then...I only found one and it isnt a great example. Ah well, Ill make some more!
Here is last years Easter card. It is not one of my best, that is why it is still hanging around in my demo basked. It does, however, give everyone the idea. You can see that it is best to use lighter colors so the outline can be seen. A lighter green would have been better on the leaves.
I am working on a card right now and will post it when I am finished and it is dry. I am going to try using the heat gun to speed up the drying process. I am using a transparancy so I think it will work.
I found this challenge really tough since I only have 2 reinkers (Perfect Plum & Mellow Moss)...so I altered it a bit...I used VersaMark reinker and then sprinkled three different Pearl-Ex colors over it. Then, I used pale blue tissue paper...I hope this doesn't qualify as a cheat But, I love it now, it reminds me of a painting...
Messy is right!!! Holy ink and glue. I tried several different ones, most are in the round file . Here is one I could do something with. Will have to try again later.
Can you believe I just tried this technique for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago? Here is my card that I made for our SIL's B-day. It was a little messy and I did have to redo 3 times before I liked the results. Like you said Beth...a little reinker is better than more. Also I did discover I could just wash off the window sheet (acetate) and start all over. I do want to try another card for the challenge.
Here are several I did with Fruit Medley. Something is screwy today. I got emails that all of these were approved, but two of them are still showing as pending. Weird. I'm having a hard time leaving comments, too! Keep getting timed out. Anyway, here they are:
I got mine done but I had to go to craft counciling before I got finished, it stressed me out! I started with In Full Bloom and switched to this one and the tissue kept coming off. I got it repaired and you'd never know now so maybe I'll try another one!
I'm trying to decide if I should buy this set from my SIL and after doing the card...I think it's a keeper. Looks great for a young girl!
Here's my 2nd one: dorky bird. Put the orange where it was supposed to be yellow (grabbed the wrong refill bottle). Not that it's a big deal... fun either way.
I am not using rubber gloves, and so far I have no inky fingers. I used one finger to spread the glue, then the same finger to spread each color of ink individually. Just wiped my finger off on the scrap pad between colors. Then put the tissue down & went & washed my hands. Then I pulled the piece up off the scrap paper & went & heated it with my heat gun (in another room) to dry fast. I'm using multi-purpose transparencies for laser or ink jet printers.
Beth, I have to admit I was not very interested in doing this challenge.....but boy did I get fooled. I pushed myself to do this and really enjoyed the process and the outcome. Thanks so much for the big push. I did not start participating in challenges until last July, 05 so I missed this one. I'm glad I didn't let myself miss it again.
Beth, I had such fun (and made such a mess) doing this the first time. I feel rather nostalgic at the thought of bringing back this old favorite. I made so many for TLC03 and I haven't attempted any since - I wonder if I can still remember how to do it!!
So cool to see what ya'll came up with for challenge...I was stalking this morning made my card and *IT* is so awesome *IT* won't load LOL!!! I have tried all day and now...I'm done, thanks Beth for another great challenge! The card was nothing special, but I did it and tried! I enjoyed seeing what everyone did and actually have a set on my radar that really was on the shoulda list!
Happy stampin'
Dee
Just wanted to let everyone know that I think all of the cards that have been posted today are very nice. Some of them are especially beautiful. For some reason I am not able to post any messages. Safari keeps telling me it can not access. Anyone else having this problem?

wow I love this
I did not know if I would like this challenge, but I love it. I use a over head acetate. I was able to use my heat gun to dry it without any problems. I loved this challenge. Thanks Beth you made me do something I would of never have done on my own. Here is the link

This technique was messy and frustrating at first... but I finally came up with something I wasn't embarrased about! LOL Here are the 2 that did not get tossed in the trash. ;)

I still have one that has been pending for 3 hours. All the cards I uploaded today took forever to be approved. But the system seems to be running really slow today as well. I just figure that either there are some problems with the system or there's no one available to approve. Sure got spoiled with instant approval, didn't we? There have been a couple of times when I had a card that wasn't getting approval & all the stuff after mine was (like mine got missed). Rather than delete & reupload, I just uploaded another card, and usually within a very short time, they were both approved. I don't think that's the problem today, though, because everyone's cards are sitting... waiting...
Here is mine. Didn't turn out as well as I hoped. I didn't have any Crystal Effects so instead I used Liquid Glue, which tends to dry a little faster. CE would have been better. But, I still got the challenge done. I'm gonna try another later.
I haven't done this technique before so I was a little nervous. It was fun and I'll have to keep working on it. thanks for the challenge!
My cards keep disapearing from the database. Can't figure it out.
This is the 2nd time I've tried to link this.
I Love!!! this challenge. It is probably my fave as it allows me to try new things. I found this challenge to actually be challenging. I was able to do three backgrounds, but am not entirely fussy for any. Here is card no. 1, pending approval at 7:50 est
