A little different take on mine. I used Future floor wax instead of glue and just added glitter, bronzy Pearl-ex, and backed with bronze colored tissue. I wanted sort of a sepia tone with the b/w photo. INR it looks much nicer than the scan. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I still have one that has been pending for 3 hours. All the cards I uploaded today took forever to be approved. But the system seems to be running really slow today as well. I just figure that either there are some problems with the system or there's no one available to approve. Sure got spoiled with instant approval, didn't we? There have been a couple of times when I had a card that wasn't getting approval & all the stuff after mine was (like mine got missed). Rather than delete & reupload, I just uploaded another card, and usually within a very short time, they were both approved. I don't think that's the problem today, though, because everyone's cards are sitting... waiting...
I read somewhere that people over a certian number got instant approval, so with approvals running so quick I thought I was one of them. WRONG! I waited yesterday for a couple hours too!
Quite a bit more colorful than I would have perhaps done otherwise, but since 3 of the colors I used in the reinkers for my acetate/tissue were in today's color challenge, I tried to tie both in. :S I also elected to try cutting out my images instead of using as one big piece.
I also just realized that I forgot to mention that I used "Dazzling Diamonds" glitter before putting on the tissue.
Ladies I just wanted to say thank you for all your kinds words about my card. Many of you mentioned the polka dots and I just wanted to let you know I used my white gel pen for it. It works great on transparency sheets. I just love my white pen.
Thanks for the continual support and for the wonderful challenges. You gals ROCK!!!!
I have a very limited number of reinkers, so I was stuck trying to do something with orange (a very hard color for me). Here's what I came up with. I even found a piece of melted crayon (orange) paper in my stash that I had done about 2 years ago to mount it all on.
P.S. I think the amount of mess involved depends on the reinkers. My orange is Ancient Page & feel certain I will be living with orange finger tips for quite a while.
This is the Last One!!!!! I have to get onto that awesome colour challenge!!!!!
I must say that this challenge was great. I was really hesitant to try this technique before, but am glad I did as you can get so many different looks with this. Thanks for making it a repeat!!!!
Beth, thanks so much for the gentle push I needed to finally try this technique -- I loved it! I combined it with this week's color challenge, so here's my Balmy Birthdaycard!
Thanks for looking!
Whata mess LOL~
I would have NEVER tried this except for an SCS challenge I can tell you that! Once I had the acetate stamped piece I sat there staring at it for a good 30-45 minutes. When I finally made a card, it was soooo ugly. I tore the card apart and started over and ended up with this one. I do have some more acetate pieces to mount. I only hope it doesn't take me as long to come up with an idea.
Which one?
I made a couple of more out of the stuff I stamped the other day. While you've got the mess out, you might as well stamp a few of these babies, right? This is what I came up with, two totally different colors. Let me know which color you like the best, peach or blue.
Thanks for looking!
I'm just so far behind this week. I did get to do this one though. This is my first Acetate and Tissue. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Have another one on the stamping pad...No pun intended!!!!

This was my first acetate & tissue try. I had noticed the technique before...but was a bit intimidated by it...now I don't know why I was..it was easy, just took time to dry. I think now that I know how it works, I could do this even better. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I had the tissue and acetate done on Monday, but let it dry overnight rather than chance melting it with my heat gun. Put the rest together Tuesday and wanted to add Happy Mother's Day, as I knew my mom would love the card. So I spent the week bumming from friends and none of use own that salutation. I thought of punching it from Alphabits but felt another layer would be too much, so I resisted. Today I got an invite to go to a friend's Bday cake and ice cream get together so just decided to finish it with a quick Happy Birthday and upload as is. I have lots of extra flowers to use if I decide to finish it for my mom. I might do that and use another background that isn't quite so busy. Better late than Never Acetate and Tissue Birthday card
