Here is my first try at this technique, I really enjoyed doing this, and love the look of the stamping on the weave. I hope you like it. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I loved this technique. I did a great card but unfortunately the batteries of my camera died right when I was ready to take the picture. The batteries are charging so when I get home I will take a picture.
It was fun making this card and I am sure I will use the technique again. Actually I may have my stamp club do this next time!
Hello,
I have not tried this yet, but I can offer some ideas on some variations. I am a basketweaver at heart who likes to branch out into other crafts.
Try using different sizes in paper. Use 3 colors and do a twill design (over 2, under 2). Twills are quite striking in baskets and I am thinking they would be as well in a card.
If anyone tries this, let me know how it turns out.
I decided to do a triple challenge which ended up being a little time consuming trying to make all challenges work together. It took me a long time but I like the results.
Here's what I came up with: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
What a great challenge! I stumbled onto a pile of vanilla cardstock strips while cleaning up my stamping space today, so I just had to try the weaving technique. Very fun! Here's my card:
Hi all! I've been watching (or stalking, if you may) and I finally had time to do a challenge. This was really fun. Thanks for the inspiration. Here are my Bear

Here is my example of this technique. It didn't go quite as well as I expected. I wanted the blossom to stand out more. I started with yellow petals and then stamped orange in between. It looked like a horrible big mess so I added the white background and stamped the orange petals again (only on the white, not over what I had already done) to help define the petals a bit more.
This is my first attempt at a technique challenge. It looked very interesting. It was more difficult than I thought, but I was able to use scraps from my overwhelming scrap box. It was a fun technique, but was very time consuming. I glued the weave to a piece of CS of the same color and it made it a bit easier to manage. Thanks for a fun challenge! Linda
My second woven card - made especially for my DD, using her favorite colors. I like this much better than the first one I did. Thanks for introducing the technique in this challenge. Lauren's11thBday
