Today I am hosting the Technique Lover's Challenge...my last challenge in 2020 - good grief, how is that possible!
I am so excited to try (and to challenge you to try) the new SCS tutorial for a side fold card shared a couple of weeks ago.
The square set up really makes for a fun size space to decorate. For my card, I went one more step with my fold and used a 12" piece of color cardstock so I could fold the last inch over to create a pocket for a gift card. You can see that in the bottom corner of my sample picture.
Note - I didn't have the punch mentioned in the tutorial so I found a heart punch and a star punch and decided to use the points they provided to create my slot on the side (it will make sense when you watch the tutorial) I ended up using the star but they both worked just fine
Thank you Lyn for making me try this side fold, for the people who use cm, I've used a 27/13.5 cm sheet scored at 13.5 and 16 cm, the other papers are all 0.5 cm smaller to make the matting.
I had already made a couple of these last week because I thought they looked fine (and it was super-easy to adapt to metric cardstock) - but here's one I made for the TLC:
