Just found this.......stayed up late last night with DD and DS. We're getting the house pulled together to have a friend sleep over tonight. Should be fun but what a lot of work! I hope to play while the girls are playing! Thanks Beth for all you do for us! Happy Quiet New Year!

This is my second card and challenge I've done. Hopefully I uploaded it to the right place. There wasn't a category for the stamp set "Definitely Decorative Pines". I started trying to make trees under a sunset, but it was so plain. I needed a layer of some sort, so I sponged the whole background instead of just the top. It's okay. Nothing inside...I don't have phrase stamps yet! Soon though!
Well, I made this on a long time ago, and it has been in my gallery for awhile, but it is soooooo peaceful. My Stamp room is under construction, so I have nowhere to create something new. So, I'll share something that is calm from my oldies. enjoy. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I am recovering from a 12 kid slumber party (11 & 12 year olds) last night, and just woke from my first sleep of the new year. I may not recover enough to stamp today, but this card I made before Christmas is in my gallery, and though I hate the thought of snow right now, the scene is quite serene. I hated to send this one out, but the recipient was very happy to receive it and took it to her work to show everyone there. She works for a consulting company that my office uses, and ultimately it got back to my boss what a nice card I had made for Mary. I thought that was sweet. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
OK - This is my very first post and my very first challenge. The colors on the background are very subtle and peaceful, but.....it didn't photograph very well. Oh well, off to try another challenge! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Here is my relaxing blocked collage, my very first at this technique. A special thank you to DawnL for all her wonderful floral blocked collages, so many great samples in the gallery!!

OOOH this will be my first time to try this challenge... Looking foreward to it- now to get myself off the computer and start stamping.
Here it is: yay
Thanks again Beth for the perfect TLC after a very busy holiday season. Serene, quiet and peaceful are just what we all need. Happy New Year my friend and to all of SCS artists. Enjoy, Nancy
I'm jumping in! Here are 2 cards that I made. One last night before I went to bed and one this morning. I hope to be a regular on the challenges. I need inspiration and motivation and this is the place to find it. I don't know how this will work out for me since I'm about 15 hours ahead of you all, but I will give it my best! Thanks for posting the challenge early, that really helped.

I wish I hadn't thrown the DD on it, though. It got everywhere. And, of course, I had used the H&S powder for the first time ever otherwise I could have brushed it off! Should have tested it on something else first! Darn. Oh well. Picture it without the DD. I was worried that the background would get lost under them but it seems to have come out not bad. TFL
