You will find a pdf file for downloading in this previous thread... posted by rmower... post #3.

To view, simply right click on the file, "Save Target As" ... sending it to your desktop. The file can then be opened.

Enjoy

Default 2468 Box Template

Can anyone help me find the template for this project. I want both sizes of it with a whole sheet and a half a sheet. I have made them before but I can't find my template or instructions. Thank you

Posting #3 has a pdf file with instructions... Forums at Splitcoaststampers

The score lines are the same on either size cardstock (whole or half)--just determines how tall your finished box will be!

HTH!

Where, oh where do I find the directions for this box. I made one once but can't remember the details. My search doesn't bring up anything! Thanks

I copied and pasted this directly from my stamp camp directions. Hope this helps:

2-4-6-8 Box:
If you want to make two of the small boxes, follow these directions. If you want to make one large box, score your cardstock at the dimentions immediately following these directions.
1. Cut a sheet of cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". (Put paper in landscape position and cut in half.)
2. Wheel sheet as desired. There are 6 different wheels for you to chose from.
3. Using paper cutter with the black scoring blade, score at 2", 4", 6" and 8" along the 8 1/2" length side of cardstock piece. You will have a 1/2" section left over.
4. Turn cardstock piece 90 degrees, and score entire length of cardstock at the 2" mark. (Your scoring blade will travel 8-1/2" down. The 5 1/2" side of cardstock piece will be against the bottom lip of your paper cutter).
5. Look at your scored cardstock piece. Take scissors and trim off the 2" x 1/2" section (not the 3 1/2" x 1/2" section). *Note: The 3 1/2" x 2" sections are the box top and the 2" x 2" sections are the box bottom.
6. Cut each 2" score mark along the 8 1/2" side. (You will be making three straight cuts, each along the 2" score marks). Do not cut beyond the long score mark running the length of the 8 1/2" side.
7. Fold along all score marks.
8. Place a section of sticky strip tape along the 3 1/2" x 1/2" flap on the decorated/stamped side.
9. Fold up the four 2" x 2" pieces; this is the bottom of your box. Use a sticky strip on the last 2" x 2" piece to seal the bottom of the box.
10. You will be forming the top of the box similar to a milk carton: Look at your box and find the side that looks best for your front. This front section and the back section of your box will remain flat. You will be 'denting' in the two SIDES of the box until you can pinch the top of the box flat. This is easier to do if you notch the sides with a triagle before flattening.
11. Punch holes in the center top of the box, thread the white organdy and natural hemp through the holes and tie.
Medium Box
(uses an entire 8.5x11 cardstock)
Score long side at 2 5/8...5 1/4...7 7/8...10 1/2.
Score short side at 2 5/8. Follow rest of directions as above.

These are great directions. So easy to follow. Thanks for posting them. I just made eight boxes for my kids' teachers.

FWIW,when I do these boxes, I score on the 1 inch mark instead of two along the length of the box, makes for a larger box, and the sides fold nicely over the bottom, and go to the middle of the bottom.

Default 2-4-6-8 box

I have unsuccessfully searched for a template and/or directions for this box. Does some one remember where they are?

(I get frustrated having to ask for something I know I should be able to find...but I have not been able to figure out how to look!)

FWIW, I like to score my bottom at 1 inch instead of 2, makes for a deeper box. You score the other lines the same (2,4,6, and but on the 2 inch score she talks about doing first you score it at 1 inch instead. you do not have near the amount of overlap, but the box is still plenty sturdy without the additional overlap.

Thanks. There are great ideas here. And thanks to the mods who merge when necessary. I don't know how you keep up with all this.
