The best micro beads are the ones that Stampin' Up! carries.
I've been using some from Michaels, and the quality is just sad.
They are all uneven, some are doubled so they don't lay down, and some are even sharp!
The best adhesive for the pens is the 1 inch Sticky Strip AKA Tacky Tape.
The 1 inch fits perfectly around the pens.
You can use Crystal Effects as a glue if you want to put micro beads in an isolated area on a flat stamped image.
I use cheap pens from the dollar store. They come in a pack of 7 for a buck!
I stamp on an address label (2 X 4 size), the label wraps around the pen, then cover with the tape, and roll in micro beads.
I heat the tape/pen, it really helps make it stickier. Then let it sit for 24 hours and "cure".
The best way to cut the tape, is to lay it on the label backing from the address labels. You get a strait even cut, with out the gummy build up on your scissors! (or getting the tape stuck all over everything!)
