Your's turned out very much like mine did, but I made two ribbon blossoms and stacked them one on top of the other, to give it more fullness. I did use my mini-bow maker and it did help (like a second pair of hands). If you go to Pam's blog and look at some of her ribbon blossoms (click on picture to enlarge photo) it appears that on some of them, that she has added to it to make it fuller. Just my take on it anyway. I think the key to making them full is to use a "ton" of ribbon and just play with it. I don't know how to do a nailthumb attachment and I really don't want to post it to the gallery either. Anyway, after trying to make one, I doubt that I will make anymore, they are pretty and add a "WOW" factor to your card but I just don't like using all that ribbon for one card (used almost two spools of ribbon, got it for 50% off at Michael's yesterday to try this with, got the sheer ribbon). So for all of you waiting for her instructions, I hope in the near future that she shares her secrets with all of you!! Peace!
I've made a few of the ribbon blossoms using Pam's original instructions.
As mentioned by a previous member, the sheer ribbon makes all the difference. And, yes, using a LOT of it is what gives it that 'poof' effect. As well, using some plain and some with dots, as Pam does, adds that extra sompn-sompn.
I, too, wouldn't use this all the time but for a special card it is nice.
As for a new tut, from Pam, it would be nice but let's let her alone and get on with our own stuff. JMHO.

I am wondering if this is one of those things that it takes practice to make them correctly - so another tutorial may not help, just practice, practice, practice! Has anyone tried to mail one of their cards with the ribbon blossom bows on it yet? I am just wondering what it costs to mail one and how well it went through the machines at the post office. If I mail mine I am going to mark it "Hand Stamp Only, Please" and hope that they don't run it through their machines. I know they frown on "lumpy envelopes".
I would suggest mailing any cards, with blossom bows, in small boxes. There are several templates for a shallow box for mailing cards which included lots of embellishments.
I believe that, when the card is mailed in a box, it is not run through the cancellation machines. Worth a try!

HTH
Does anyone have a template for the shallow box they can share? I ship alot of things through the post office and I think an envelope has to be like 1 inch thick to not run through the machine and that puts it into a higher shipping rate - it is usually $2.25 for postage with delivery confirmation. Delivery Confirmation is $0.75 for First-Class Mail and $0.65 on Priority Mail (postage on priority mail is a minimum of $4.80). Putting it in a shallow box may keep it from running through the machines. I would love to have a box template so I could make it and take it in to the Post Office for a shipping cost. Have a nice day!
Susie Nelson posted her card size pizza box in the gallery along with measurements. I just found it and haven't tried making one yet. It looks like what we need for cards with the ribbon bow.
Try this site out, can make your box to any size you need by just putting in your measurements, no matter how odd of shape you have http://www.cpforbes.net/tuckbox/

I have emailed Pam from her blog and now that I have found this thread I know why she has not responded. Pam I hope you and your family are well and I will wait patiently for the tutorial and I have subscribed because all you ladies are wonderful and the ideas you have posted have been awesome.
I hope each of you have a wonderful holiday season

Yeesh, what is the matter with some people, they must have no life in order to be so heartless and rude. I think your Ribbon Blossoms are beautiful and I am definitely going to try to make one.
I think that we all wish Pam and her family well - with Christmas right around the corner we all wish them a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Prosperous New Year! If the tutorial isn't going to be done don't say it will be - as simple as that - enough is enough!

For someone that was absolutely devastated by comments made about her first tutorial, it seems a little odd that there have been so many broken promises on her part. On 8/15 (post # 274) the tutorial was finished, 7 weeks later, on 10/6 (post # 473) a promise of 2 days til posting. It's been almost 6 more weeks and still nothing. Eight months is a really long time to have people that admire your work, and have been promised assistance, to wait. I would really like to see the new tutorial but I'm kind of tired of waiting and tired of the broken promises.
I wish Pam well and hope everyone in her family is healing nicely.
Hopefully the tutorial will be up soon, but I've almost given up.

If you want people to be courteous to you, you must be courteous to others!Seriously, most people are not being heartless or rude, they are just hoping that Pam is going to do as she said she would. We really don't know exactly what's going on in Pam's world (probably lots, I'd imagine) and clearly, making a tutorial for something she can do with her eyes closed is not top priority. And as kraftykatekloset said, don't promise something if you're not going to do it...or at least come back and say that it's not going to happen.
Oh, gee....I don't know why....I guess I had nothing better to do....but seriously, probably for the same reason you peek in every so often....

I really like your flower blossom. Would love to see a tutorial on it. Will you let me know when it is ready. Can't believe anyone was nasty on SC.That really shocked me as I have found the nicest people on it. Don't have a lot of time to surf the forums and techniques, but I do everytime i get a chance.

THE FOLLOWING IS COPIED AND PASTED FROM A PREVIOUS POST:
This is HER wording exactly:
-Assemble your ribbon pieces in the order you choose. These pieces are about 4 inches long. I hold my group together with clothespins to keep them organized and in order. And clothespins are an inexpensive extra set of hands.
-Slide a longer, approximately 6-8 inch, piece of ribbon under the ribbon you've already added to your card or altered item. You'll want this piece of ribbon to be strong enough to pull tightly on, to tie a good knot.
-Tie a knot in the center portion of the group of ribbon. This is how the blossom is attached to your card. Added: The ribbon that this is tied onto should be attached to the card in your usual manner. The Ribbon Blossom is actually very lightweight.
-Starting with the bottom group, pull a strand to each side, alternating right and left. Example: ribbons 1-3-5 are pulled to the right, ribbons 2-4-6 are pulled to the left. Do this to the top and bottom sections, until finished.
-Once all of the ribbons are separated in an alternating manner, visually divide the arrangement into a right and left section from top to bottom. Give the sections a slight tug. Imagine the clothespins as my right and left hands to give you a better idea.
-By this time, some of the edges of your ribbon may have become frayed from the pulling, twisting, etc. That's ok, because now, it's time to trim your blossom into its final shape.
-Using a sharp scissors, trim the edges at the angle you prefer. The overall size and shape of the blossom is up to you and your imagination.
