Hi guys----
I wanted to hop in here and let you know that reading this thread has gotten me all choked-up and teary-eyed!! What sweethearts you all are!!
I am so thankful that you have all been so understanding about my reasons for deleting the tutorial----I guess the nasty messages really knocked the wind out of me, and though I'd like to think otherwise, I'm not as 'thick-skinned' as I'd like to think I am, and, honestly, I was hurt.
That's in the past, though, and I'm not going to continue to dwell on negative things, especially not when I've met SO many fabulous people through SCS and my blog. THAT is what I'm going to focus on---all you WONDERFUL people!! :-)
Right now, I'm tweaking the last few parts of the tutorial for the 'Ribbon Blossom', and it'll be ready soon---I promise!!
Hugs to you all----you've all made me feel SO much better!! Pam
MUSIC TO MY "EARS". YAAAAAAAAAAAAA Thank you so much Pam!! You ARE such a sweetheart. Who cares what some say. Their nasty comment about the copying the pom-pom was ridiculous. The ribbon blossom is your signature and is done very well. That is why we all want to copy you!
Oh Pam:
You must know that so many of us love you as you have been our inspiration, teacher and friend. Don't worry about not being "thick skinned". It's a myth and only a quality of those who have little sensitivity, self pride and compassion. You have a power that most do not...the ability to inspire, care, create and teach! I have created 2 cards in my gallery that attempted to make the blossom bows according to your direction. Here they are. Read what I said! LOve you Pam. Glad you know how much we care.
Hi Pam...for every disagreeable person out there...you have 1000 people who think you are terrific..I'm not sure why but people tend to complain and the people who really like something tend not to say so..
On that note, I can't wait to see your new tutorial on the Ribbon Blossom...

Hi Pam;
Just wanted to let you know I treid to make a Ribbon Blossom and mine sucked big time.. It was pretty pitiful. Will be waiting patiently for your tutorial on your BLOG!!
i posted a pattern for something that was on the net.....i didnt take credit for it and told where i got it, AND i got blasted. so .....i know how that goes !!
I wasn't going to post any more until I made my first blossom, but as I'm reading this it saddens me that people, instead of being encouraged to learn more wonderful things, are bent on making other people's lives unhappy. We are part of a very enthusiastic community of artists and I think what happened here is very petty. I would be honored if someone ever CASEd by card or idea and made it there very own. I understand the situation if someone is published and takes someone else's idea and makes it their own, but that didn't happen here. I don't know you Pam but I've seen your work and read your blog and hope that you will soar like an eagle with your talented work.

that 2nd one...Cherish....LOVE that card! And you blossom looks great!
I'm so glad that I saw this thread! I have been searching everywhere for this fabulous tutorial! It's amazing how cruel that some people are. I think that they are just jealous, personally! Thanks Pam for sharing so much knowledge and creativity with all of us here on SCS! We appreciate you! Beth
Oh, Pam....it's so good to hear from you. I've been worried sick that those horrible people had done you in!! I don't know why people have to be so hateful....the only reason I can come up with is that they dislike their own life so much that they feel compelled to make everyone else just as miserable as they are. (AND, they are jealous of you and your talent!) Please keep your chin up and IGNORE those people - you don't need them...you have all of us are here that love you and are here for you! Bless you!! (And welcome back - we missed you!!)

Just in reading Pam's blog, you can tell she is a kindhearted generous gal.
People who send negative comments and act nasty to someone who's just trying to be helpful, should get a life. Whatever happend to "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all"
The world would be a sweeter place if everyone did just that!
Bev PS LOVE THOSE BOWS!!!
GO WINGS!!!!!

I don't post very often but love to lurk and look and CASE. I think Pam's Ribbon Blossoms are absolutely gorgeous and I, too, would love to learn how to do them. Pam, please ignore the "idiots" who say nasty things. Please believe that there are tons of us who would love to learn your technique. The blossoms/pom poms are beautiful. I wait with bated breath.
It sounds as if Pam is having a very busy summer. I'm looking foreward to the tutorial too, but I don't think it is up yet. If it is I don't know where it would except on her blog. I read it every day, but I must admit I don't always check the listings to see if it has been posted. I think I forget because I'm in awe of her work (I drool) and forget to look. So far no post.
Waiting impatiently.
Jan
I thought it would be up by now too... I myself haven't checked as my summer has been so busy...I gave up trying the blossom..lol...so I too am waiting impatiently
Look back at the previous posts. I kept trying until I did something that resembled a blossom. I think if you use at least four inches like Pam says, and do an alternate pulling of each end in the opposite direction, it might kind of look similar. Also, I cut mine's down after I tied it on to where it was supposed to go. Another point is to use more than a few strands of ribbon. I actually got up to 12. Pam had said she has gone from as few as 8 to as many as 30. WOW! Look in my gallery for an example.
I'm going to keep on trying.....you too!
Was this re-?? I can't wait to find out how to make those cute little bow/flowers.
I will never understand why some people find it necessary to be ugly to complete strangers (or people they know for that matter). It takes a very unhappy person to act like that.
I for one am glad that you know how to make those and are willing to share it with the rest of us.
Please let me know when this is ready!! I can't wait to see if I can use all my scraps for one!
Thank you for being so talented and willing to share.

Okay I'll give it one more shot today...but really and truely I think since I lost my print out of her instructions with my own lil notes I've become all thumbs. I'm not getting the poufiness I want and I'm not sure but I think I might need to use more softer ribbons. I tried to make B-day Invites with the blossom and it looked like a shredder got to it...lol..
From what I'm hearing, most people are tying the middle instead of using the clothes pin method Pam had posted before...still not really working for me...I wish I had kept a copy of my notes. I am without a doubt frustrated that I can't do it...I usally have a good memory for things I like to learn but this has totally stumped and discouraged me to try again. I do "hope" she does the tutorial again...

I have been waiting too.
These bows are beautiful and ad just the perfect touch to a card.
Pam, I am sorry that you received those terrible email. Unfortunately the world is not filled with wonderful people like you. There are those out there that do not like to see people get the credit they deserve...I think they are just bummed because they did not come up with the idea themselves.
Thank you, Keep up the great work, your cards are wonderful....so are your ribbon blossoms!!
