I'll try to explain it without pictures until I can get the step-by-step pics.
Cut all your strips up first and keep them grouped together so you don't get the lengths mixed up.
Take your 1x7 strips. You're going to fold each strip together to form a breast cancer shape; glue the ends together. Repeat this three more times using your 1x7 strips. Connect all four pieces together with a brad. This is the bottom layer of your bow.
Repeat the above step with the last 4 strips of your 1x7. This is the next layer of your bow.
Repeat the above step using 8 pieces of your 1x6 strips. This will create the last two layers of your bow.
You will end up with 4 layers to your bow. You can have 3 layers if you want; it doesn't matter; it looks good with 3 layers too.
Then your last 1x6 strip, make a loop and glue the ends together. Then place inside your bow to finish it off and glue it in place.
Did that help? I hope. Trust me a visual would have been so much easier but since I'm a goof and didn't complete the instructions.
Sorry to ask but what exactly is a breast cancer shape..??

Thanks so much for sharing. These are absolutely wonderful. What a great way to make that special gift totally awesome! I'm going to a baby shower on Saturday and will definitely try this out.
Awesome!! tfs...I've switched to using plain wrapping paper (white or kraft) for all my presents so that I don't have to deal with all the excess wrapping paper and goodies that get used just a few times/year, and these will be great for embellishing...I can ever coordinate with my card ;)
This is great instructions!! Can't wait to try this. My MIL's birthday is next week and if I can pull this off I am going to make one of these for her gift. She thinks anything handmade is so nice. She keeps her homemade cards in her purse and shows people and her ladies luncheon, LOL!!!

now what am i supposed to do with that box full of christmas bows that's in my closet? how can i use those when i know i can make something so beautiful.
Is there a reason you can't make the top layer first, and continue to attach the lower layers, using one large brad as opposed to making 3 or 4 layers and then gluing them together?
