Can you emboss on Glass?

I just picked up some really cool candle holders from target (8 for $2.XX on Clearance) and really want to emaboss on them. Has anyone tried this? Or am I better off doing something else?? Any ideas??

I did some for x-mas! I used silver encore ink and silver EP! Turned out Great!

I have embossed on glass many times, just make sure you use the embossing buddy, I get tall glass jars at our local Dollar General and I emboss Doggy Treats across it and also doggy stamps and fill them with treats and sell them at craft shows. There a big hit.
