Does anyone have a cd calendar template they are willing to share? I checked out the redcastle.com one but I can't figure out how to put a couple of months per page so I can stamp at the top. Thanks in advance for any help.
I use the Redcastle one and cut them apart. For a teacher gift end of last year, I stapled them together by season and attached to a page stamped suitable for that season. Hope that makes sense. I am working on one with individual pages for each month; got stuck on May, and it's still sitting there.
I downloaded a template from a website and revamped the file because if you did something as simple as changed the font, it messed up the whole file. So I have 6 files...2 months to one page.
Dimensions are: 4 5/8" X 5 1/4" You can go a little longer on the 5 1/4", but be careful because if it's exact or close to it, you may have issues closing your case.
You should be able to cut right at 4 5/8" and the print should be centered. Be careful with the months that have 6 weeks with days...you have to leave enough room on the bottom so the lip of the CD case doesn't cover the days.
Be careful with layering, because the cases are thin and can't handle a ton of layers. We used a lot of little strips of paper to add color, and if you have any tiny stamps...they are great to stamp the holidays and the days of the week. Makes the calendar stand out more and looks so cute. Nice & Narrow & Border Builders has some good small stamps.
Anyways, here are the files. I guess I have to do 2 posts since only 3 attachments are allowed at one time.
I have not seen this done either. Can someone post an example of a finished calendar. It sounds really cute but I can not picture how this fits into a CD case.
