ceramic coaster??

I thought I had seen a topic or picture of ceramic tiles stamped and used for coasters. Has anyone seen this or something like this ? If so I would appreciate instructions or pictures. I'm new at this so any help soulbe great.

yes, you can stamp on tiles - ceramic are more difficult to stamp on as the stamp slides and you will have to seal them after stamping.
You can use tumbled tiles - these are easy to do. If you use staz on ink to stamp and sharpies to color you won't have to seal them.

Thanks for the help. I purchased the tumbled tiles in the size for coasters andthe sheet of 2x2 size for magnets. I need to get the staz on pad and re try stamping. Thanks again for the answer I was beginning to think no one was going to help.

Where did you get the tumbled tiles? Our Lowes seem to only stock the glossy.... I asked for them and the look of BLANKNESS enveloped everyone...

I got mine at Home Depot. You can asked them for 4x4 tumbled marble tiles. You'll want to look for the style/color called "Botticino". I find that those are the best to stamp on & have less imperfections.

I found mine at Lowe's. They do come in a box of 9. The sheet of 2"x2" were $2.98. That would make alot of magnets for around $3.

I am are in a very small market so our Home Depot said I'd have to special order tumbled tiles and they generally come in 10 square foot quanities - to many and too much $. So I found a tile and floor wholesaler who will sell in smaller quanities. You could try smaller carpet or flooring stores. Sometimes you can buy smaller quanities there. Gail
