Question Coloring on vellum

I've tried coloring on cardstock vellum with watercolor pencils and my aquabrush--problem is, the vellum always warps from the water. My question is, when you color on vellum with markers (on the reverse side) does the vellum still warp? Any other suggestions on how to color on vellum?

Thanks in advance.

I am not sure about waterbase markers , but yesterday I colored on cardstock vellum with Sharpie markers ,it did not seem to cause any warping .
