Question Colouring Glass???

I've been using Armour Etch to etch glass bowls. mugs, cannisters...anything I can get my hands on. I was just wondering if there's anything you can do to make the etched part coloured. I was wondering if it would work to apply reinker to the etched part after the fact, or even to add the rinkers to the Armour Etch cream beforehand.

Has anyone tried this yet? I don't want to wreck a plate if I mess it up!

Thanks in advance!

They make paints that work on glass (Pueblo is one of them). You paint, let dry and then bake it in the oven to cure the paint.

Another option might be Stazon ink.

Thanks for the info, Jeanne! I'll have to check out the local craft store!

I use the Vitrea 160 paints by pebeo. They have some that are opaque and some that are transluscent. their website is www.pebeo.com

They *DO* need to be heat set at 325 degrees for about 40 minutes.....

sorry - the Porcelaine is the one that comes opaque or transparent. The vitrea are transparent and come in regular or frosted... my bad!
