Default Cracked Glass

Cracked Glass, is there such a technique? If so, how do you do it?

Thanks for your help

It's not too hard to do.

Stamp your image and color it if you like. Then over the whole area that you want cracked stamp with Versamark. This works easier if it's a square or rectangle shape. Cover with Clear EP, or with ultra-thick clear EP(works better).
Heat. While powder is still hot, pour on another coat of powder, or let it cool, Versamark again and then powder. heat. Repeat this step until you have 3 layers of ultra-thick EP or about 5 layers of regular EP.
******Important....use tweezers or something else to hold your c/s or you will burn your fingers a lot!!!!******

Put c/s in freezer for about 15 minutes to cool it down, or leave it on your table for about an hour to cool down.

Pick it up and twist the paper, which will make it 'crack'.

Repeat often as it's really fun to do!!!

Check out the above thread for some info on the technique and also some cards created with it or type in TLC41 in the gallery search to find them all at once.

Jen, your avatar is really creepy! Mary, yours is super cute!

I thought I would ask on a previous thread.
I tried this technique but could barely see my image. Did I not heat each layor long enough or if I wait the hour to crack will it clear up?

Thanks...Cassi

Hi, if you don't have clear embossing powder is there anything else you could use? Would Crystal effects work???

Default coloring

If I color with SU markers would the ink bleed onto my versamark pad?
