Default Cutting out Alphadots

I got the 1/2 inch circle punch from SU to cut the alphadots out, but it seems like it cuts too much away.

Any suggestion?

I found the same to be true with the SU! 1/2 inch circle punch. I found another circle punch at Michael's that I like better.

I bought the SU one and felt the same way, then I found that CM has one that cuts it the perfect size. Nice thing is that it cuts 2 different size circles so I could mat it with a larger circle if I wanted to.

I use the 1/2 circle punch from SU and find it works great. There is a small strip of the alphadot left, but the entire letter and most of the background is visible. Did you center the punch over the letter?

Yes you actually need like a 5/8" punch, which I could never find.

So 1/2" is better than nothing!

oh, I just ordered alphadots in my new demo kit. 1/2" punch was to be on my first order. Should I hold Off? but how can I demo with someone else's punch?

You are supposed to get the 1/4 inch square and circle punches that are shown on the page with the set in the mini. I think a 1/2 inch would be too big. I bought both punches shown and they work perfectly! Yaaaahhh!

Hi Bridget ... the 1/4" punches are for the Alphabits ... I think these ladies are talking about the Alphadots, which are bigger and the 1/2" circle punch works great with them .

Michael's and JoAnn have 5/8" punches. They are the kind with handles.

You demo with the 1/2 inch punch. At convention at the M&T area, we all noticed that it punches out a little bit of the dot but not much. Not enough for me to fuss over.

Would I like a 5/8 SU! punch so that I could have a white background to the Alphadot? Sure. But I won't demo a non-SU! punch. Once I got over wanting the background, I was fine.

That you ladies all for the help. I am very new to this board and already I am in love with it. I have gotten so many ideas that I feel like I am in fry down mode.
