Default Do you seal your dominoes?

I found a great deal on dominoes in an off beat dollar store today that I wanted to use for pins. I made 7 of them using sharpies on the background and stazon for the stamping. I let them dry and I thought I would seal them. I used a krylon like spray can of sealant. To my shock and horror, everything ran - the stazon and the sharpies.

So, do you seal your domino pins?
If yes, what do you use?

TIA!!
Ginny

I sand them first and then stamp/color them. I do seal afterwards using a matte finish acrylic sealant. When I apply it, I set down the domino and lightly spray it from about 6" away. I don't actually hold down the nozzle and spray or it will run. I just use several small sprays on it. Good grief... I hope you understood that. I reread it and I'm not sure I made sense to anyone other than myself.

Default sealing dominos

Hi there:
What I've done is press the domino into a clear embossing pad and emboss with clear powder. I repeat this about three times.
I used the Adirondak pens as my background though.

My first ones ran too after I sealed them with Krylon glossy spray - I used stazon and sharpies - only the sharpies ran, though. The advice I got was similar and that I probably had too heavy a hand and the qty. made it bleed. I had also edged with a krylon gold leaf pen and the spray turned it green! Lesson learned is spray lightly first, then when dry, do the edge. Some use Crystal effects to seal too!

HTH.
