Default Domino turned green!!!

I made 7 dominos last night, and sealed them with the Krylon Low Odor gloss sealer. but yikes! Some of the Gold Leaf on the edges has turned green. I used a Krylon gold leaf pen.

These were my first dominos so any info would be a help.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I had that problem when I used brass bees as embellishments on some dominoes. I decided I kind of liked the effect. I've never had the problem with paint pens, though. You might try sealing with Crystal Effects or Clear Embossing Powder to seal the dominoes.

I think it might have been better if you sealed first then used the Krylon Gold Leaf pen after...it must have been a chemical reaction.

ok, thanks everyone. I'll just call these ones "vintage vertigris" and seal before the gold next time :-)

you could probly take the gold leafing pen and go back ove rit to cover it up, as long as the sealer has dried.

That was funny Tandra!

I was told to use the UV clear coat on my dominos. Not that it means anything! LOL Just say you meant to do that. It is the distressed look!
