Question Eyelets through ribbon

I see lots of cards in the gallery that have a brad through the ribbon...how do you get the hole through the ribbon to do this??? I usually use a hole punch to make the holes for my brads, but it doesn't make a "clean" hole in ribbon...

TIA!

I posted a card earlier today that had eylets through ribbon. I glued the ribbon to the cardstock and then punched a hole through it, added the eylet and voila!!
I did have to clean up the back a bit because it didn't cut totally through on one spot....just took some scissors and snipped it off. I hope that this helps

Oh yeah, I used a hole punch too (when you adhere the ribbon to the cardstock first it makes it sooo much easier to punch through.)

To put a brad through ribbon...I place the ribbon on an old mouse pad and pierce the ribbon with a push pin where I want the brad to go through. Take the push pin out and put the brad in the ribbon hole. This is probably clear as mud...but it's pretty simple.

Paper piercer is a life saver because they are so sharp and you can see right where you are putting it unlike my hole puncher...I use it for my cards too when I am adding brads to cardstock it just seems to save more time when you can see where its going....best thing to do when using it is to put a mousepad under it!
