Default FauxLinen:Do U Really Need Craft Inks?

With the faux linen technique, do you think I could get away with a stamped image in regular classic ink? Will it dry on the glossy card stock?

I don't have the craft inks, so I've used the clasics, and loved it. That said, maybe it would be easier or look even better with craft inks. Hmmmm.

Has anyone tried them side by side?

This is the card i did using the faux linen.

I used classic inks only. I used my heat gun to speed the drying time on the glossy paper.
Do make sure the ink is dry it gums up your sandpaper if it isn't.;)

I think I might try it with craft ink. I liked the look of the classic.

I use classic inks! When I tried it with the craft, it was just a big old mess and didn't work at all they way I was expecting. I'll stick to my classic inks! Use your brayer to move the ink back and forth on the glossy, you'll get better coverage

Thanks for your help girls! This helps me out a lot. I don't use the craft inks and didn't want to buy any just to try this technique!

Thanks for these replies. I ended up using classic inks and just let it air dry for a while before sanding. I too didn't want to have to invest in craft inks just to do this technique! It is a fun and easy technique. However, now I'm thinking that maybe I will just buy the Linen Background stamp in the next mini catalog--save some time! Yeek!!!
