Default glass etching with stamps

I want to try to use my stamps, instead of stencils, for the glass etching. Has anyone tried this? Does it hurt the stamps? Has it been successful for anyone? TIA!

Here is a link to a post from Colleen Kidder on etched glass. She has step by step instructions. I tried the Embossing Powder/Versamark Technique and it was so easy and turned out beautiful!! I have never tried it with stencils. HTH

I read the Kidder thread as well and tried it. It's pretty simple: make a mask (I used a circle) out of contact paper, stick to glass, stamp image with versamark (outline stamps make the best impression in my attempts), emboss; then, brush on glass etching cream (brush both ways) and let sit 5 mintues. Then, wash off under hot water, use something to scrape off embossing. It's really pretty. Good luck!
